"If Michael Jordan is the best basketball player of all-time, who is second best?" - Family Feud

This question was asked by Family Feud, so I guess we get a perception of the public:

Did they ask a high school? :oldlol: Lack of Kareem, Russell and Wilt is disturbing but I suppose you can't ask the casual fan to know these names, they just know who the media has been hyping up for the past 20-30 years.

Kobe at seconds proves it's casual. Duncan should be behind Bird

The producers make up their own answers. They don't actually survey 100 people.

Wrong. My aunt saw a live taping in the 90s, they survey the audience in the studio, and sometimes use the results of the survey from the break of the taping, in the very same show. Which is also why there is a heavy Southern California bias in nearly all surveys.

Could have been worse to be honest.

The show also samples from the LA area. 78 of the 100 answered a Laker.

They asked 100 people on Santa Monica Pier. I'm surprised LeBron is even on this list.

Lakers are going to dominate any list.
Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Kobe, Magic. It doesn't matter what state you're in. Lakers names will be dropped.

Lebron name will only be high when you're in florida however :facepalm

All are top 10 players so I really don't see the problem here.

My family was on it in the late 80s. They did make it up at least then. My family was on many episodes and we got to know the producers at the time. They said in the end, they get more feedback from themselves and put in a lot of funny or suggestive answers for interest and difficulty of the game.

Survey proves people in California love Shaq more than Kobe.
