Great, now either we win with him and get bounced in the playoffs, or people will criticize him for his team being horrible

Take your time Rondo

It's interesting what the Celtics will do with Rondo, either bring him back slowly and play him like ~20 mins a game while trying to tank, and start the next season fresh. Or play him lots to get his trade value up and trade him for assets/young pieces to rebuild for the future. Or maybe push for the playoffs?

Awesome. Hopefully picking him up for my fantasy team pays off.

finally! the season begins on Friday!

seriously though, I would not play him more than 20mins for his first 10 games or so.. and not play him at all in back-to-backs. there's no need to rush things, especially since we are currently in a top 5 draft pick position.

Celtics tank was looking solid with the 4th worst record. However, I'd gonna be good to see Rondo out there sooner rather than later so he can round back into form. I trust Danny no matter what position they finish in due to stockpiling the most assets.

There is no guarantee they are a lotto team this season with him back. Also I think you are underestimating the amount of assets that they have available. Danny is in a better position to acquire stars going forward than he did in 2007.

what are your thoughts on their potential moves?

They have an assload of picks, some young talent they can move, expirings, and will have capspace... Plus you've got Rondo coming back and solid role players.

Bass could help a contender.
Green could help a contender.
Hump/Bayless/Crawford/Bradley expire.
Brooks could draw interest.
Sully is a beast on a rookie deal.
They have big trade exception from Pierce.

The only contracts that are rough are Bogans and Gerald Wallace. Bogan's contract is only guaranteed for this season though.

Milwaukee would love Jeff Green. I think we have the pieces to knock off Indy/Miami, but Green would really put us over the top no doubt

One of my favourite players. Can't wait to see him back and see how he fits in with this young Boston squad. They have potential of they draft right with all the picks they've acquired.

Trade value up? All he has to do is play. I don't get people with the trade talk. You can't leave your team without a drawing attraction, but it could become moot when his contract comes up. It's Ainges' move, and it has to be quick.
