Hell, we're still trying to work on the chemistry and experience of our young guys that are actually worthy of playing time (Irving, Thompson, Waiters, Zeller and Delly). If Bennett is going to inhibit that by f#cking up, he needs to have a seat.

This is one of the drawbacks of having this many young guys on the team.

Second youngest roster in the league. They're relying on 21-22 year old guys to help carry the team night-in and night-out. That's always going to be a formula for inconsistency.

There were reports that Byron spent more time on the golf course than in the practice facility. So, that might be why. Also, the team was pretty awful, especially defensively.

They've improved this year. Obviously, just not fast enough for some.

Not for the players and coaches... it never should be under any circumstances. That's a front office thing.

If you're tanking as a player or coach, you should lose your job immediately. These guys have too much on the line to do that.

It's tempting, but this was always going to be the year. With the East being historically weak and more teams trying to tank as the season progresses, I don't think the Cavs ever had much of a chance to get into the top 5-6 in the draft anyway... unless there are a bunch of injuries and you never want that.

Once you get outside the top 6 or so players in this draft, it looks like most others to me.... and that's assuming all these guys come out.

No way this team would compete for another top 3 pick with the number of teams who will be going for those spots in the second half of the season. Even a concerted tank wouldn't get it done, imo.

Better to take the opportunity afforded us in a weak conference to get these guys in the playoffs and those invaluable experiences.

Well the way I was looking at it was they traded for Deng to get his rights, then get a great draft pick and convince him to sign again next year. I didn't know Deng was intended to get you guys into the playoffs, I thought it was just a smart move to have Deng already on board then build through this draft and start kicking ass next year.

Then again, maybe they wanted to get to the playoffs with Deng and try to convince him to stay by showing him you could get to the playoffs? I don't know, it seems over complicated the way things are going. I would have waited one more year, but what do I know? I'm just a dude on a forum. They get paid big money to make these decisions, I'm sure they know more about what the right move is more than I. :eek:

Nothing is guaranteed in the draft, and even then you have to surround the guy with talent. You don't want to build a losing culture, these guys need to start winning..

Personally I think mike brown is a useless piece of shit, they need a coach to help develop what they have and they'll be fine..
