Wrong. If both Iggy and Curry are out there Curry would be the playmaker. Iggy is just a bandaid solution...a point forward type player. Not a true ball handling get the offense going type of guard.

This makes the bench unit much much better though. They lacked a serious scoring threat that is aggressive. He'll make Barnes much better. His attacking will free up Barnes.

If he does well he'll get a ton of minutes as he'll play both 1 and 2 for them. Curry + him to give Klay a few minutes, and Klay + him to give Curry a few minutes. He'll spend most of his minutes with him, Barnes, Green, and Speights and one starter.

Okay.

I'd like this more if Joel Anthony was expiring after this season...but with the ramifications of what is just an absolutely epic tank move by Damny Ainge, it doesn't sound too far fetched to think that maybe he'd prefer talking his chances in free agency. Then again, $4 million guaranteed isn't small talk. We'll have to see on that one.

Meanwhile, the genius move that will fly under the radar here is getting a potential first-round pick for Jordan Crawford. Even if it becomes two second-round picks, that's still a chip to be dealt.

Also, cheers to GS for stacking chips for a run at the West this season. JC is gonna help you guys out nicely.

The only things I'm still waiting for is to what can be got for Gerald Wallace and Jeff Green. Either could fill a spot on a contender so nicely...but dem contracts...

Awesome trade for GSW as they got now a very good bench scorer and the backup PG they needed.

Good trade for the Heat. They save a lot of money and Joel wasn't being used anyway.

Bad trade for the C's. Joel will mostly likely pick his option and cost a lot of money while being a bench warmer.

No

His defense is alright sometimes (plays very in your face, harasses the ball handler) but he sucks. Fouls too much and actually good ballhandlers will burn him. Can't make plays at all. Can't drive and kick. Can't pick and roll. He can hit an open 3. And sometimes gets really streaky hitting lots of 3s. That's about it.

For a while Rockets fans were calling him Tney Uglas... cause he got no O and no D.

Don't like this trade for the Celtics. It is a huge risk because the 1st round Philly pick is lottery protected for this and next year and will become a 2nd round pick after that if not taken. Joel Anthony doesn't save them much more money than the combo of Crawford and Brooks would. Maybe Ainge is freeing up a spot for a big trade.

calm down, and take a deep breath you fair weather fan. crawford has actually excelled at pg this season. he'll be good for the dubs. he'll definitely fill that jarret jack role a lot better than douglas ever did.

But who will be shooting guard for us at back up? Is this deal done?

Looking at pct, he is streaky. 40 percent? Our bench is going to have a chucker who stat pads

I'm not saying to trade Crawford for a Barnes caliber player, but I'd prefer some solid gain, not some kind of "maybe we will get something".

What is the point of this trade for GSW? Trading for scoring combo guards? That helps the scoring unit of the bench but GSW needs an experienced playmaker PG that complements well with Curry..

Hur dur. ESPN says that Bradley is a point so he must be a point even though Crawford was the one bringing up the ball and making all the plays this whole season. Let's not forget that Bradley has/will start next to Rondo.

We need scoring from the bench unit. Crawford is also a decent playmaker, and attacks the paint a bit too, which is something else we're lacking. Douglas pretty much just chucked 3's as the backup PG, because at this stage of his career he can't beat defenders off the dribble.

Crawford is too tall to play PG. He could get hurt. Is he a ''true'' point guard? We did sign Scott Machado though. What will our 2nd unit look like? Who's going to play shooting guard?

Crawford "too tall for a pg" at 6'4". Jason Kidd and Gary Payton sure were injury ravaged. Future health looks bleek for John Wall and Greivis Vasquez.

He chucked on a losing team who let him chuck. He's going to be playing limited minutes in GS, so I'm fine with him looking for his shot for 15 mpg.

Also, over the past month, Jordan Crawford has averaged more than 6 APG. Just under 6 APG for the season.

Crawford can be good, but just letting you know, you might be banging your head when he does a deep heat check even though he hasn't taken 1 other shot in the game. He doesn't do it every possession or often, but it's practically tradition for him to take one of those shots a game.

Great trade by Boston. Lakers need to learn and take notes. The Celtics can get 2 picks for Jordan Crawford but the Lakers can't get 1 measley pick for fvcking Gasol? Lakers should flip Hill, Nick Young and Gasol into picks while these guys are playing over their heads.

Be foolish to think crawford won't help GS alot off the bench. They never kept leads due to lack of scoring options. Least now they have two decent options.
