View Full Version : If lebron really is a tier above jordan

knicksman

How come his on/off +/- in the playoffs is 8.2 which is not better than kobe(8.3)

And with paired with stars. his on/off +/-is just 3.8 compared to kobe which is +/- 10.

I've literally never heard anyone say LeBron is a tier above Jordan. at most I've seen people say he's the goat over him, but they're always hardcore trolling so no one takes it seriously. mj > Lebron and that's no shame for lebron

clearly im exagerating. But if hes capable of challenging jordan and a tier above kobe, how come his on/off +/- in the playoffs is the same as kobe and becomes worse if paired with stars. Kobe has 10 to lebron 3.8. If hes really that good maybe he should beat kobe first.

I see people knock bron stans all the time for using stats in their arguments, and you want to base the whole thing on +/- ? I know you're just trolling, but seriously you're just trolling.

The guy is an idiot. He also has 4 alternate accounts in this forum. Most of his posts is about trolling LBJ, and praising his hero.

LeBron 2011-2012 playoffs +24.3 :confusedshrug: :confusedshrug: :confusedshrug:

the best measure of impact is leading your team to back to back NBA titles at age 28.

so if it doesnt favor lebron it becomes the most stupid stat

So if it doesnt favor lebron it becomes a good stat?

+/- is extremly flawed & simpleminded way of evaluating an individual, it favors any random player who happens to be in the lineup when the opposing team randomly struggle more while your team does randomly a bit better.... ending up with the guy having 0 points the best +/- in the game while the 50 point triple double guy ended up with less....

Good +/- = playing or being away at a better moment, it can happen while you did absolutely nothing individually.

Bad +/- = playing or being away at a worse moment, it can happen while you did EVERYTHING individually.

Now please, stop.

its only bad if its a 5 game sample or even a 30 game sample size but 1 season or career.. Nah. We have seen oscar wilt and jordan 30 8 8. i think its enough of an evidence to believe that these type of players are overrated.
