Do Avatars matter to you?

Any User has a specific avatar that sticks in your memory?
That takes your attention, is funny, interesting, etc. ?

For me on this site it's probably kblaze with the spiderman avi.

I don't put much stock into avatars per se, at least from my perspective. But if we're talking about your standard every day average joe type poster then yah, they have a certain level of significance. You can be an average poster with a great avatar and be considered a good poster.

For people like me, no, it means as much as a fleck of cat shit, but if you're some random joe shmo, then put some effort into said avatar.

That Brad Pitt avatar just doesn't do it for me.. and I'm a big fan of Brad and Angelina, they're stand up people. Brad is just too cliche of an avatar dude, it seems forced, contrived, and comes out straight up boring.

You have a weak username and a bad avatar. Best be stepping up that posting game if you wanna last around here.

My whole gimmick is just a social experiment. I try to come off as annoying as possible and see how people respond. The people who lash out at me are mentally unstable, angry, social misfits who take their anger out on some random innocent internet poster.

be rational, objective and friendly and you will fit in splendidly. avatars hold significance to only the shallowest, pee-size brained neanderthals with keyboards. It takes a certain type of basement dweller to look at a 100x100 jpeg and determine someones posting ability.. you don't want to associate with those folk anyway.
