View Full Version : Everyone apologize to Shaq now
Nick Young

From the very beginning Shaq was calling out Dwight for his lack of post moves, his bad footwork, his bad fundamentals, his inability to pass out of a double, and his lack of killer instinct.
On ISH and TV, Shaq used to get clowned nonstop by people calling him a jealous hater.
Now alltime legends like:
Hakeem
Barkley
Magic
Worthy
Kareem
have all gone on public record saying the same things Shaq was saying from the beginning about Dwight.
Shaq was right.
This is the thread for every poster in here who ever called Shaq jealous and butthurt to apologize to him. We can then tweet it to Inside NBA and get featured on the show. Shaq would really appreciate the apologies.

Laker fans are so delirious and butthurt about Dwight leaving them, that they will think of anything to make Dwight look bad

Shaq wasn't the only one saying this about Howard either. Kareem, magic, Kobe and Hakeem all said he was not trying hard enough

I love when LA/Kobe haters try to act like he is still regarded as a top player.
Everybody sees that he's a scrub by now. He is what would happen if you gave all medium-skill-level players in the nba 15fga

there is only one super man .... :confusedshrug:
I don't like kid mental Howard , but I have back problems ,,, when it happens your basically have to cope with it ..
Because of injury as so many big men fall....
Howard has to reinvent his game as does Bynum...
Otherwise say bye-bye...

For you old timers .. Caldwell Jones boarded for a rip old age , and probably never jumped more than 18 inch's .. so it can be done(.)

I don't know, I mean Dwight at that time was definitely better than Shaq was giving him credit for.
And even if he did suck, Shaq attacking him like he did was clearly done because he didn't like Dwight personally...I don't remember Shaq going out of his way to attack Kendrick Perkins or Joel Anthony or any of these other weak ass centers out there who weren't even close to as good as Dwight was and is.

Shaq's a fvcking idiot and completely wrong about Dwight. If you hate Dwight so much, stop posting this shit. It makes you look like an ass-hurt whiner who's just pissed that Dwight ditched the Lakers to play elsewhere.

It was indeed very childish at times. who gives a shit about which player gets called "Superman," especially two grown ass men.
I think Shaq had every right to criticize Dwight even when Dwight was playing at an MVP level.
Many people have criticized Lebron in the past for his lack of footwork, post moves, and a reliable shot. He's improved in every single one of those facets and have shut up the haters. He's been aging quite gracefully.
Meanwhile, Dwight was criticized for his poor free throw shooting, lack of post moves, and constant turnovers. He has not improved in any of those facets of the game and his game has suffered. Shaq was right.
It's not that Shaq thought Dwight was trash, just that he thought he didn't have what every single great Center the league has seen had. He didn't see the greatness, just the flaws in his game keeping him from becoming great.

imo hes an era-specific, coach-specific- team specific top 5 player in the league, all time great? not in this life
his game has too many gaping holes

It was obvious Dwight was garbage when Lakers were a below .500 team with Kobe averaging 30 ppg on 48% shooting for a 2 month period.

good point.
And at 34 YEARS OLD. I mean, god damn, he had to play 40+ minutes a game for an entire month to bring the team back into playoff contetion with Howard playing almost the entire season. If Howard was so great, why couldn't he produce enough for the Lakers to win 50 games with Kobe playing the best ball of his career since his prime years in 07-08? Dwight lost us a ton of games missing free throw after free throw when being hacked. We lost a ton of games by 4-5 points, where Howard missed 5+ free throws in the 4th quarters or he fouled out early in the game.
His last game as a Laker, he got ejected and ran to the ****ing locker room like a bitch. Lakers got swept at a historic fashion (huge huge point differential) with a healthy Howard leading the team.

Shaq was right about everything. But Dwight's crappy attitude is what dragged the Lakers down.

You know, Shaq really was spot on about Dwight.
No one disagreed with what Shaq said. It wasn't inaccurate. But he was rather immature with how he went about it. Then again, Shaq was never known to be mature.

Exactly. Dwight has zero fans. All posts here about Dwight are made by haters. LA fans need to move on and leave this scrub alone.

Charles made a great point in the post game show. Dwight has not gotten worse, his expectations have just increased so much, that he is getting criticized even though he is doing basically the same thing he has always done.
I think people always thought given his athletic ability and production at a young age, that sky was the limit for his potential. I think what is happening is that he really is not getting as much better as people hoped or expected him to. You do not see a much more fundamentally sound post game. He doest have all that great footwork on offense. These are the things people thought he would improve upon because he was so young but he really hasnt taken it to that next level.
Now that the reality is coming that maybe he never will take him game to the next level, a lot of hate is coming out. Some unfair, but some warranted. He is 28 years old and been in the game for 9 years. That window of potential is flying by fast, and its getting to the point where people are going to realize that he is what he is. And that is not a bad thing. He is a great rebounder, defensive presence and a very good player. He just never lived up to the expectations given to him earlier in his career and I doubt he ever will.

i've watched more games then you and i can tell you he's gotten worse. he can still dominate, but not in every game like in orlando. he has games like this now. he's also a LOT worse defensively. like night and day.

Man screw Shaq big retarded ass! Shaq was coming off like a hater before. Like he was legit man about everybody calling Dwight superman.
No way I apologize to this big kid. Everybody knew Dwight had no post moves but even so you would still rather have him on your team instead of the Center you got now.
He's still the top 1-3 center in the league and that's not gonna change anytime soon
