prob bc was getting so much shit

@mcten: "Kendall Marshall apologized to Nick Young at today's shootaround for not coming to his side and said it will never happen again."

Marshall said Friday he apologized to Young.

"I take full blame. I should have ran over there and pulled him out of there," Marshall said. "I think it's good for him to get upset at us about that."

A photo has circulated on the Internet of Marshall standing alone near the top of the three-point line, hands on hips, as the fracas took place under the basket. Someone added the caption, "Don't worry Nick ... Kendall got your back."

Said Marshall: "I thought it was hilarious. You look at it and it does look pretty bad."

"We just talked about everything. We're all on the same page now," Young said Friday. "Once we talked, we aired everything out. We're all good."

I'm sure Kendall Marshall will hold Nick Young's hand from now on too, whenever he's in trouble.

That's pathetic. Marshall has nothing to apologize over. If anything, Young should be apologizing to Marshall for giving him so much BS over it.

Those Suns players that Young wanted Marshall to stand up to are Marshall's FRIENDS. He was with them all of last year and this preseason. Of course he wasn't want to get into any beef with his friends. He barely even knows Nick Young. So why would he want to get into a scuffle with friends that he's known over a year over a teammate that he's had for a short time?

On top of that, Marshall doesn't exactly have a pot to piss in. The guy doesn't have millions of dollars just sitting in the bank. He's still just trying to earn himself an NBA career and prove himself to the coaches that he's worthy of giving a solid contract to. He'd be ridiculously stupid to get involved in some drama and risk getting fined, ejected, or suspended. Especially if it's some drama that had nothing to do with him!

Does Young really think that his teammates should risk getting into some BS over him that could potentially cost them their paycheck or even their NBA career? He needs to grow the f*** up and realize that if he wants to get into some beef and throw away some money and get suspended, his teammates aren't always going to want to go down that road with him. Especially a young guy like Marshall who doesn't have any leeway to be doing stuff like that to begin with.

Besides, Young was acting like a crybaby about it anyways. Boo hoo your teammates didn't come save your ass when you decided you wanted to get in the faces of guys twice your size. This is the NBA, not middle school. When you take a flagrant foul, the other person will pay the price through fines/ejections. You don't need to fight over it. Just shut the f*** up and play the game and stop acting like a baby.

Calm down bro. It's not like Nick Young wanted his teammates to run up and start swinging at the Suns players. He just wanted them to step in and deflate the situation like every other team does when tempers flare. Not stand around like nothing is going on. Having your teammates back doesn't necessarily mean going all Stephen Jackson on somebody. Just step in and make sure things don't get out of hand.

Exactly. Dude didn't even move within 30 feet of the incident after it happened. :oldlol:

It's one thing to not want to get involved in an altercation and get suspended/fined, it's another thing to leave your teammate on an island with 5 Suns jerseys surrounding him.

If Nick Young played help defense, his teammates have had help defend him.

Not defending Nick Young because he overreacted in my opinion. But the notion Marshall knew the Suns better than the Lakers? Irrelevant. If the Morris twins were traded tomorrow to the Lakers and they played the suns were an incident happened? They are defending Lakers. So the fact Kendall hardly knew Nick isn't an excuse really. The friends thing goes out the window when you put that opposing jersey on and step on the floor. This is the only part of your post I dont agree with at all.

Note to all opposing players. When Marshall has 1 tech already, start a mini scuffle. Marshall will come in and get his 2nd T and be out of the game.

He will start a fight with the first guy that looks at Young the wrong way just to make a point.

Exactly. That is why you get in Nick's grill the next time Marshall has a T and is having a good game.
