If you watched the Heat this year, you would know that their losses this year have been because of the defense has been very mediocre. For people who watch every Heat game and make 100 threads about them, you guys sure have no clue what you are talking about.

Are we acting like Lebron isnt part of the problem on defense? Wades a better defender. In this game Green beat him off the dribble multiple times. He let Boston get an easy fastbreak and he was the cause of few open 3s since he put the rotation in chaos by gambling

Meh... they get killed in the paint because they are slow on their rotations. LeBron may get lazy on defense, but he's far from the problem. I think it's due to fatigue and age. Their defense consists of trapping and quick rotations; they haven't been able to do that this year.

Theyve been FAR better defensively with Wade tho...............Honestly what makes Lebron a better defender than Wade? Even in the Spurs series it was Wade making the key defensive plays.

Wade is a great defender, but he doesn't make up for the bigs being slow on the rotations, he doesn't make Battier, Ray, Lewis, Birdman, ect. younger, and he doesn't make the team less tired. We miss him, but not playing him isn't the biggest reason for their losses. I understand you are a troll, but Wade being the Batman for the team isn't the reason for their losses.

Actually, it does to an extent. The problem Miami have been having is that none of the perimeter guys aside from Wade have been consistently keeping their man in front of them. Bron's defence has been poor recently, he has been blown by numerous times, Allen is always blown by, and Chalmers and Cole haven't been great either in this regard (Cole especially). The bigs have had to rotate more than they should because of this, consequently being out of position to rebound, making a poor rebounding team even worse. Wade's help defence is also great and he is very disruptive on the perimeter, frequently triggers fastbreaks, and fits Miami's style of play very well.

Wade not playing makes them much worse on defence, and as a team; this isn't debatable, it is obvious.

I'm shocked at how the Clips are doing without CP3. I thought they would struggle to stay over .500. Redick is back, so that that helps out a lot. Without CP3, Blake has more responsibility scoring wise. The team itself is growing a lot more. They are better defensively and offensively this year, and less dependent on CP3. When CP3 comes back, I'm sure they would improve as a team.

The Heat appears to be coasting on defense and trying to keep healthy for the playoffs. They have to kick it up because their laziness could be their undoing. And Wade's health seems to be more important than last year. They know that they have to be healthy in order to take out the Pacers and get to the Finals. The Pacers are better this year.

With OKC...It's the Durant show. He is soo efficient and scoring at a high volume too. And he doesn't dominate the ball! He's great off the ball. Other scorers like Kobe, Wade, A.I had to dominate the ball for iso to score, but not KD as much. He's been the best player in the league the way he's playing. Probably the scoring performances I've seen since Kobe, just with less volume and more efficient. But people are overlooking his defense too. He's very good at that end too man to man.

Wanted to refrain from commenting at all in this thread but it needs to be said.

How many of you are looking at schedules when creating these comparisons? The Clippers have likely had the easiest games out of any of the top-tier teams playing without their 1A/1B.

For reference's sake, their wins came against ORL, BOS, LAL, DAL, NYK, DET, CHI, TOR, and MIL. Only the Raptors are over .500. And two of their three losses were blowouts against by SAS and IND (the third was a huge choke against Charlotte).

Very big fan of Blake's improvements this year but this team has enough talent to stomp on the East. Shouldn't be any surprise they've been able to keep their heads above water with Paul out.

All this tells me is that Westbrook, Paul and Harden don't have a big impact on their team's success. They obviously need to be traded, regular season games in the 1st half of the season are the most crucial afterall. If their teams can win without them in this highly competitive and brutally difficult environment then they are clearly unimportant.

DeMar DeRozan sprained ankle (rolled it pretty bad and is day-to-day), Raptors 2-0 as of today.

In context, we beat both teams that were coming off a back to back, while the Raptors had a full days rest. Both teams were bottom 20 in defense. In the Nets case, we beat them by 1 point and it took a great defensive and offensive effort to get the game winning shot. As for the Magic case, they've been horrible all year and the win was pretty much expected.

Now, the Raptors go on a 5 game West coast road trip and are certainly going to need him on that trip.
