[QUOTE]The Minnesota Timberwolves are once again losing their seesaw, back-and-forth battle with the .500 mark. After breaking even yet again at 18-18 on Jan. 10, the Wolves have lost two straight to fall to 18-20.

More concerning than the record

Just because one guy THINKS Kevin Love is going to LA doesn't mean its going to happen.

Anyways this news is kinda old. Like 2 days old, but yeah Rubio needs to get out of it and he needs to learn how to shoot

Go back to the Euroleague where he can get 50 points 20 rebounds and 50 assists without breaking a sweat

Can't expect him to be overjoyed in a losing culture where the Timberwolves are 0-11 in close games

Ricky Rubio wont even do that in the euroleague. That's how bad he is. He would probably average 15 ppg, 15 apg and 5 rpg

I would lose my love for the game if I had to play every night with that stat padder Love also.

Brook(lyn)Lopez
01-17-2014, 08:42 PM
So Minny didn't reserve the 5 year max for Love because they wanted to keep it for Rubio, and then they keep Adelman who runs a strict system that stunts Rubio's strengths and expose his weaknesses.
Kahn is gone now, Flip needs to step up and change something, or blow it all up because Wolves aren't going anywhere as currently constructed.

He needs to improve his shooting. Rubio is already 23 turning 24 yrs.old.

He's a good passer, and good at stealing the ball, but the wolves also needs his offensive productions.

I wouldn't love it either if I shot as poorly as he did as a ****ing NBA player.

he doesn't fit the euro style at all.

No offence meant but I imagine it's common for players in Minnesota to lose interest now and then. Poorly run franchise in a cold ass city with nothing to do outside of ball? Add in the fact your not a native and your family is overseas and it could be hard at times. Especially when your the type of player who needs quality team mates to play to your potential

Well, maybe he should show some pride and work his ass off on the obvious weaknesses his game has, which prevent him from playing his game and have fun with it.

He is embarrased that he can not hit a damn shot even if he is wide open and this makes him feel awkward on the court. All he has to do is work on his shot and change that 15-year-old shooting stroke he still has.

It's him and Kevin Martin costing the Timberwolves most the games anyway if I felt like I was always holding the team back I would feel like shit as well.

Its literally everyone besides Pek holding us back.

At least Ricky plays D. One of 2 guys that does that for us.

Adelman's system really hurts Ricky's game as well. He has no role in it.

I think he would average 15+ assists if he played for the Lakers.

Adelman's system is holding him back? What the? If you can't score in Adelman's system, you can't score the rock. Period. After the Toronto game, Kyle Lowry just called Adelman his favorite coach of all time, and it's not just him that says it.

It's time to acknowledge Rubio is regressing and hurting the team. Sad, because Rubio, to me, has so much potential in terms of bringing winning basketball, if only he can fix his shot. Damn.

Jennings also sucked... then scored 55 on his 5th nba game....

Rubio averaged close to that in under 16 championships, though.

wasn't aware that bums start for NBA teams....

what happened to Rubio was that he tore his ACL. Before that he was second in the running for rookie of the year.

Minny shouldtrade Love and filler for David lee and Harrison barnes

Rubio
Martin
Barnes
Lee
Pekovic

Bad defense, but barnes would become an all star within a year on that team, easy.

"Matador Defense"

I think Rubio can still improve his shooting. He just needs to work harder in the off season. Hire Rick Barry or Reggie Miller as one of his shooting coaches.

Rubio needs to improve his jump shot and take lead of the team. Love is just interested in his numbers. They need someone that his hungry to win.

The Wolves have the worst rim protection in the NBA. Their front court just don't work together.. One needs to go. I'd keep Pek.

cp3's and rondo's passing >>>>>>>

No way. CP3 is a threat to drive AND shoot. As a defender you expect Rubio to pass. There is nothing else he is going to do, yet he pulls it off every night. That's unbelievable. This is why Rondo's passing is so impressive too.
