Would you take him over George or Cousins going forward?

Hell No! There's something about Wall that makes me want to slap the shit out of him and I'm not even that kind of person. :coleman:

Probably not.
Wall is the least durable and has the least upside of the 3, IMO.

That's an unfair question because both PG and Cousins have superstar potential. PG is almost there, Cousins has work to do but will probably get there as well. They're both incredible talents and we shouldn't hold it against someone for not being at their level. Wall is also a tremendous talent and I think with a good jumper (he's shown improvement), he could come close. But as of right now, no.

Wall is really streaky and inconsistent.
Looks really good at his best, when he's confident and knocking down the jumper, finding guys with precision passes, getting to the hole with confidence, but then there's the other Wall who becomes passive, throws up too many bricks, and looks lost out there.
Nope, I'd have George and Cousins over him.

Yeah that's why he's the guard with most double doubles in the East

Why would I take Wall over the best offensive Centre in the league and a rising star in PG?
No. Not either player.
Although they all have room for improvement.

I think Wall still has a ways to go. There's still more "unlearning" after being coached by Calipari. I wouldn't mind him on my team, for certain.

No, scoring point guards don't translate into championships in this day and age. The same will be said of Rose, Westbrook and Irving when it's all said any done.

you can't put isiah in the same sentence with the likes of gangbanger/team quitter/fake humility/no fundamentals/busted defense derrick rose or and1 players like kyrie or wall who would get eaten alive in the playoffs. All of those guts can't run a team for shit, if they succeed it is only because of a system.
Isiah had heart. None of those have.

I'd take Wall over Cousins but I wouldn't take him over George. I personally think that Wall is on the precipice of becoming a top 5 pg and someone that's dynamic on both ends of the court.

No, **** no.
He's good , 3rd best pg this year after curry &cp3), but george is better and so is boogie.

Scoring PGs can easily translate to a championship.
Just need a star wing or elite big next to him. Like all these other championship teams... OKC has enough pieces to win it all with their current core, tho I think they matchup poorly with Miami. Westbrook isn't the problem in that mismatch, either.

Can you be third in the league in apg and still considered a score first pg? It's interesting because he can score (and when he's feeling it he's unguardable eg.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V_I4hhRKVjU), but he also spends huge swaths of games getting teammates wide open looks. He might get his teammates more wide open looks than any player in the league on a game by game basis. He and Steph Curry in particular score 20 a night (Steph even more than that), but they do a fantastic job of getting everyone involved.

Over George? No. PG's length, versatility, and defense separates him. Over Cousins? Yes. Cousins is a head case, just like Wall. Both are as dumb as a box of rocks. I think it's pretty much inarguable too.

I'd take him over Cousins, but not Jorge.
Cousins is probably the last "franchise player" in the league i'd take on my team.
EDIT: pretty much what swish said
It's probably closer to a maybe than a no in about a year or two, especially when Wall is still progressing.
Also, Wall's about to take the Wizards to a #3 or #4 seeding. (Yeah, I know it's the East). Look at the WAS roster: Beal, Ariza, Gortat, Nene and the bench guys Webster and Booker. Looks decent, not even close to the Pacers' deep rotation.

Also, this. Nobody watches the Wizards anyway so it's not like people can really judge Wall's game.

The Wizards won't take over the Hawks or Raptors. Well, maybe the Hawks since Horford is out, but their still a tough team. Raptors have outplayed them quiet clearly in their matchups and have the easiest remaining schedule in the league.

what's my postcount have to do wit my reasoning? :biggums:
watched 3-4 wizards games this year and he was abysmal as to running a team and establishing a tempo. And his jumper is beyond broken. To be fair his iq is harder to gauge because he doesn't shoot that much but if he would be shooting 35% on that J you can bet your ass he chucking like mad.
He's full of himself too, like he's the shit when he's really just mid-level nba player who gets a pass because he won the genetic lottery. No post up game even if he's bigger then most pgs... i can just go on.
Maybe I caught him on the wrong games? :confusedshrug:
Don't really care about him tbh.:confusedshrug:

It seems like you are asking so much from a PG i think the only PG with a post up game is andre miller. Even lebron didnt rely on post up not after his 8 year.
I know wall can sometimes be passive but when he hasnt reach the full potential yet. all three can still improve.

What makes you think Wall is a headcase? Because he played with knuckleheads for the first two years in the NBA doesn't make him one.

Who do you think the problem is?
OKC don't seem to defend the 3 well (at least against Miami) and Brooks hasn't shown he can adjust in-game well enough.
I also wouldn't necessarily trust any shooter on OKC bar KD/RW in clutch moments whereas Miami have any number of players that can make big shots.
no pun intended

Depends on the system.
To be honest, if you paired John Wall with an athletic frontcourt (e.g. Blake Griffin), then he would dominate.

Wall has a weak jumper but he isn't a head case at all. He has done a good job setting guys up since his rookie year. Acting like he is a headcase like Cousins is just ignorant.

Wall gets a bad rap with attitude/personality concerns. As far as I can tell, the guy has never had any problems off the court or in the locker room.
And, he's finally having his breakout year. I expected it to come last season. He's developing nicely.

Well, it did kind of come last season but it was overshadowed by the Wizards record and him missing the first part of the season. When he was actually on the court last season, he played excellently.

It's a very tight race between WAS, TOR, ATL, and CHI for #3 at the moment.
WAS 2-0 vs CHI
WAS 1-1 vs ATL
WAS 0-2 vs TOR (also 2-0 vs BKN if the Nets somehow takes the Atlantic)
WAS is #3 for conference W-L record. They're doing good against East teams.
