Each week I will try to give amazing songs their due.
Broken Bells is the side project of Danger Mouse and James Mercer the lead vocalist and guitarist for the indie rock band The Shins.
Like his earlier work, Mercer's lyrics can be open to interpretation.

this week I picked an unlikely crossover hit from Klaxons. I believe this song is about your mind being opened up and following the light.

This week I have chosen of my favorite bands and their biggest hit
This song kicked off the Rock revival of the early 2000's and made these indie label swedes rich in the process.
A simple message but a good one, live life on your own terms and do things because you want to and not because you have to.

Often overlooked these days for originating modern rock & roll. Nobody's top 100 list should exclude this man. http://m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=IMZjAOoX6nw
