This is why home court is important to the Pacers in the playoffs. The Heat keep resting Wade as if home court is no longer a priority for them.

Depends on the health of Oden and Wade. It's hard to say right now.

I don't see either IND or MIA winning game 7 on the opponents court, honestly.

This. How many playoff series have the Heat not had home court advantage in these past couple years? The Finals in 2012 might be it.

I sense a '93 Bulls @ Knicks caliber Conference Finals between the '14 Heat and Pacers.

OKC and the Bulls in the ECF. They have also never been in a game 7 situation on another team's floor; they've overcome so much adversity the last 2 years when their backs were against the wall, so they could beat Indiana in a game 7. They've beaten Indiana on the road when their backs were against the wall before.

They win without the HCA vs chicago in 2011 and OKC in 2012

The HCA is only important if they had a game 7

They are pretty deep though and they are young. I don't think that will be much of a factor (everyone is tired by then).

Wow, three years with only two series without hca and both went to only 5 games. Must be nice. :lol

Indy wasn't nearly as good last year, and the series still went 7. If it comes down to a Game 7 on Indy's floor I don't know if the Heat could pull it off. Like you said they don't have the experience being away in that situation.

That's why it's hard to say. Miami just seems to find a way to win when all hope seems lost the last 2 years. Miami didn't exactly play well last year in the playoffs; they had Wade on one knee, Bosh was completely off, and their 3 point shooters were cold after being like #2 (I think) in 3 point FG % in the regular season. They were a better team during the 27 game win streak.

It would definitely be hard to say, and Miami is a hellish atmosphere for opposing teams in elimination situations. Based on last year though Indy appears like it can be just as brutal. (Jumping the gun here a little but) This ECF might be the toughest for Miami since the big three came together. It's going to be a series for the ages, assuming everyone is healthy.

Scola's worked out pretty well for the Pacers, can anyone imagine how'd they be in Green and Plumee stayed in Indiana and played as well as they are now

Heat have a better chance of winning on the road with Wade than they do at home without him.

Obviously it would be ideal to have both, but if they have to pick one, I think they made the right choice.

Who? Pacers are 3-0 against the Nets and 2-0 against the Knicks already.

Toronto? Atlanta? Detroit? None of those teams will win in a best of 7.

i think that heat would take a healthy team like the one they had during their 27 win streak over HCA.
of course, they'd prefer to have both but it seems like that would be pretty hard to do with current condition of wade.

Last year they would reach the Finals if they had HCA and they know that.
That's the main goal this regular season, puts them in a better position to beat the Heat in a 7 game series.
