Im going with this. Almost a quintuple double here.

I accidently put 9 steals initially, it's actually 8.

I think Wilt would might have a quintuple double if they measured it back then. Otherwise, I'll go with MJ's, that's the most godly statline for the modern era.

Didnt MJ get both the 69 and 19 in the same game? The one at Cleveland in 90 at the collosium?

Go to a player's bball reference page, then go to 'game finder' in one of the tabs. Ascending order by points, assists, rebounds, blocks and steals to find their career high.

Make sure that it's either regular season or playoffs.

Why is Wilt's incomplete?

You can add a MINIMUM of 23 blocked shots for Chamberlain...

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1082021/2/index.htm:

So the Lakers walk the ball up the court, get arranged and then, as VBK says, start "to grind it out." The Lakers do not often make 100 points now. "Defense is the thing we're really living on," van Breda Kolff admits, and Chamberlain has been superb, sometimes even awesome, on defense. In a recent game on national television he blocked 23 shots against Phoenix.

I say a minimum because he had numerous games with 20+ blocks, and even some legitimate estimates of as high as 30+.

SHAQisGOAT
01-20-2014, 12:09 AM
When looking at numbers you know Wilt's gonna come 1st.

More:

Moses Malone - 53 pts, 37 rbs, 6 asts, 6 stls, 9 blks

Barkley - 56 pts, 33 rbs, 14 asts, 7 stls, 7 blks

Pete Maravich - 68 pts, 15 rbs, 18 asts (no 3pt line, blocks and steals unknown)

P/R/A/B/S

Magic - 46/17/24/2/6
Bird - 60/20/17/5/8

Wrong

Magic - 46 pts, 18 rbs, 24 asts, 9 stls, 5 blks
Bird - 60 pts, 21 rbs, 7 asts, 9 stls, 5 blks

Ive looked for the quint doub but no one has it. Such a shame.

Wilt and Russell have it. Just that steals and blocks weren't recorded. Following the 60s (really high pace), maybe someone like Bobby Jones has it (AK is really close), blocks and steals were already recorded but not shown in single games box-scores.

LAZERUSS
01-20-2014, 12:26 AM
Actually Chamberlain had several recorded quad doubles in his career.

Just in his '67 post-season, alone, he had two known quads.

Game 1 of the EDF's (and against Russell) 24 points, 32 rebounds, 13 assists, and 12 blocks.

Game 2 of the Finals (and against Thurmond), 10 points, 38 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 blocks.

BTW, in game three of the first round of the playoffs, against Cincy, he had a 16 point, 30 rebound, 19 assist game, in which there were estimates of 20 blocked shots.

I am reasonably certain his quad-doubles were in excess of 30+ games throughout his career.

Well, we all know that Wilt was a "choker" in the post-season, and now here is the evidence...

Playoff High Statline...

56 points, (or 53, or 50, or 50), 41 rebounds, 19 assists, 16 known blocks and estimates of 20.

Finals High Statline...

45 points, 38 rebounds, 10 assists, 13 blocks.

Surely centers like KAJ, Shaq, Hakeem, Moses, Duncan, Robinson, Ewing, et al, had playoff and finals statlines that were far better.

Kareem did play in that era and he didn't match a single thing, so don't be anywhere near sure.
Too bad he could only make it to the Finals once (twice, counting 1974), I guess.
