Lebron has only beaten one 50 win team without Wade/Bosh/Miller/Allen/Haslem/Spo/Riley, and he had a below average TS% in that series and was carried by Boobie Gibson in game 6.

Yeah, totally weird that FMVP is only counted on one series out of the entire playoffs.

It's almost as if the three 50 win teams Kobe usually had to fight through to get to the finals don't matter in the FMVP award.

Why are you deflecting from the question. It's a question that is easily answered by a single number. Are you not able to answer the question?

Unrelated, but who was the MVP in those years when Kobe/Shaq got a 3 peat? How many did Kobe get those years considering he was leading the team?

i would say 6 of 7 teams from the Lebron list qualify while 12 qualify for Kobe. The 2nd half of Kobe's list shows how much weaker the top contenders of the West got through the decade.

Edit: Minus elite and add title contender. 60+ teams usually qualify as elite teams

that said... neither LeBron nor kobe has ever beaten a 50-win team in the playoffs. the lakers, cavs, and heat have done that. and none of those teams have had control over the strength of competition in their conference

Lesson number 5: Lebron is the highest game 7 scorer I NBA history while Kobe chokes his way to 22pg and 39 percent shooting in game 7's.
You have beeen well and truly educated in your own thread:applause:
You need to lose 3 games for there to be a game 7. Let us proceed.

:oldlol: This bears absolutely no relevance whatsoever in determining who the better and more impactful player between James and Bryant. None whatsoever.

Why can't the contingent of Laker/Kobe fans on this forum just accept that LeBron plays the game of basketball better than Kobe ever did? It's really not a big deal.
Everybody knows that Kobe is the better player, MJ, Bird, Dr. J.

Larry Bird never once said that Kobe is better than LeBron. He said he preferred to play with Kobe, but never said Kobe was better. As a matter fact, he said LeBron may be the best of all time when it's all said and done.

"He's one guy in the league that I think he'll probably be better than all of us when it's all said and done."

LeBron is better than Kobe by any and every objective measure out there. Just accept it, and move on.

"Well, probably Kobe, because of the fact that ... well, of course he wouldn't have been shooting as much as he does now ... but his desire to win, his dedication, to always get better, uh, and he's just, he's just tough," Bird said. "He's just a tough cat.
"But, if you want to have fun, like I did with Bill Walton, play with LeBron. It would have probably been more fun to play with LeBron, but if you want to win and win and win, it's Kobe. Not that LeBron's not a winner, just that [Kobe's] mindset is to go into every practice, every game, to get better."

Dr J says if he had to pick between LeBron and Kobe he picks ... Bryant. Says Kobe 1 of top 5 players of all time.

okay dude, take Dr. J's opinion and a statement from larry bird from 2 years ago to reinforce your agenda :lol

what we've learned over the years is that you pick the opposite of whatever jordan picks if you want success

Dr J's and MJ's was last year.

Don't compare what we already seen in the NBA to HS/College player projections

Why do people say Jordan is an idiot who knows nothing about basketball and was only good at playing, has a horrible eye for talent, but then when he comes out and says Kobe > LeBron his word is gospel? When the **** will LeBron and Kobe stans stop being so insecure about their players status in arbitrary and subjective all time lists. Why do you care how high someone else puts LeKobe on their list?

has a horrible eye for talent
Maybe he's not strictly talking about talent, but also taking intangibles into account to determine a player's true value. MJ has already said LeBron is a dominant player. Can't argue with the hardware though. It's just the measuring stick they used against Jordan himself when he was the superior player to Magic and Bird, while the media rubbed it in his face he hadn't won championships yet.

The '08-'10 Lakers were the 1 seed every year and played a 50 win team 11/12 playoff series
