This dude would've been a top 10 pick. He was 1 pick away from being undrafted. Today vs the Thunder he put up 38 pts. What is he? 5'9?? The dude is a beast! Special special player. They found a gem with that pick. Hes putting up 19 ppg and 6 apg... c'mon bro dont do 'em like that! I like this guy. Good dude, and a nice player.
BTW before you call me a homer, i am not a Kings fan. Im just giving respect to a player who was thought to be unsuccessful

That was the whole point of asking if he counted as a last pick. Technically no, but still...... :coleman:
I need a reason to glorify him.

Ben is one of the greatest undrafted players, but since he wasnt the last pick then i guess it wouldnt count for him to be the best last pick ever

I don't think any really compare to what Ben did in his career, individually. Bruce and Haslem were key role players for their championship teams, though.

Ben had a better career and peak than all of them and it's not particularly close.

If we're goin by only 2 rounds, from the past 25 years or so than yes.
There used to be three plus rounds in the draft back in the days. Steve Kerr was the last pick in the 2nd round in 88. Gerald Wilkins last in the 2nd round in 85.
Mario Ellie was player 160 out of a 162 player draft selected. Basically a 7th round pick 3rd to last drafted.
Too bad he cant run a team for shit.

he's averaging 19 points  also pretty sure he isn't 5'9 ... without shoes i wouldn't be shocked if he was really 5'7
the last and only player under 5'10 to average 18 or more points per game was calvin murphy in 1980 ( height per basketball-ref )

:
he is 5'9 barefoot, nate rob is 5'8 barefoot. he's slightly taller than nate. Hes a real amazing player though, more potential than nate.

This, not a single player on that team has average IQ, what he's done this season is great but I still see him as a elite 6th man as his best position on a winning team. He's a starter on a team that does have a playmaking SF/SG or that lack scoring punch in the starting 5. On the Kings but he's the best PG this season since Bibby.
I been critical of IT (nothing compared to the hate he gets on Kings forums) but he's changed my mind this season in terms of starting I always knew he would tear it up off the bench like he did but as a starter he's been beyond competitve. He would also be a lot more effective if he played with players who knew how to set a damn pick to get him free sometimes without him having to break them down.

That long distance three ball off the dribble last night was one of the most impressive shots i've seen all year. With that said, I agree with Miller in the sense that I feel {at least at this point in his career} he's best suited as a fierce scoring punch off the bench, which isn't a knock at all.

What exactly are the Kings folk bickering about? His inability to play like a true point guard stylistically?

Sounds like a cop out. He's a score first PG. That was what he was coming out of college.

Isaiah is basically Ty Lawson. Their games are very much alike, and they're about the same size, and their stats are very similar as well.
I like Isaiah, hopefully he comes to the Lakers. We need a dynamic PG.
