I'd never pick a team with Lebron on it as he's simply a ghost when you need him most. Plus he becomes useless when guarded by fatter guys like Boris Diaw, Shawn Marion. Jordan is overrated also. So Hakeem & Duncan

Talent is comparable, therefore bigs is a better choice.
Interestingly, Dream probably would play PF and Timmy as center, and can you imagine the defense? GOAT D right there. Offensively they also complement each other very well, and both have competitive fire.

Lebron and Jordan if I could pick up a great defensive center like the Mutumbos and Big Bens of the world.

Can I trade Bron for Duncan or Hakeem? I would settle for Ben Wallace.

Hakeem and Duncan all day long. Look at what Robinson and Duncan did with an aging Avery Johnson/Mario Elie back court. If they were hitting their primes together? Unstoppable.

No one would score on them.
Jordan + LeBron...
...then I'd trade him for either Hakeem or Duncan

The Dream & The Big Fundamental
LeBron is Jordan's Pippen. He'll still get 6 rings 6 FMVPs.

Both setups are a recipe for major success. If u get two bigs that can BOTH play inside and outside as well as dominate the paint on defense, that means Finals appearances and rings. Look at Hakeem-Sampson or Duncan-Robinson. It's very rare u setups like that where u have both guys who are the size of centers but can play either PF or C.
But if u have two legendary guys at SG and SF, that means Finals appearance and rings too. Look at MJ-Pippen, Wade-Lebron, West-Baylor. Once again, its rare to get setups where BOTH guys are among the top 5-6 ever at their respective positions.
So if I had to pick, I think I would lean to Hakeem and Duncan slightly. It's more rare and unique to have two guys like that together.

Hakeem is overrated?? What?!
Have you seen his stats, highlights, accomplishments, footwork in the post, and defense? He's easily a top 10 player of all time. If not then he's top 15

Lets imagine both these teams existed at the same time. I'd favor Duncan/Hakeem to beat a Jordan/Lebron team every time. Therefore I'm taking the big men every time.
Duncan/Hakeem's defense helps defend Jordan/Lebron, but not vice versa which gives them the edge.

I love big men so I gotta go with Hakeem and Duncan. Shit that would be a sight to see.
I think I would be more excited to see H&D play together than MJ&LBJ

Give Duncan and Hakeem a bunch of three point shooters who can play defense and they'll never lose.

Mike Conley
JJ Redick (or Danny Green)
Shane Battier
Tim Duncan
Hakeem Olajuwon

Duncan/Jordan or Hakeem/LeBron a better question perhaps?
Orlando Magic

Olajuwon & Duncan and it's not even close.
Although... era might factor into my decision making but ultimately, probably not.
Not only do Olajuwon & Duncan have the advantage of being bigs, but they compliment each other's game better than Jordan & James do.
Although Miami has won two titles, is there much doubt that it wouldn't have happened without Wade and potentially even without James instead? There have been many indicatiors that the Heat play better when one or the other is off the floor... the advantage they have is that one of them should always be in the game at some point unless it's a blowout.
The same thing would happen with Jordan & James... duplicated overlapping talent. They would be a nightmare to deal with when they're playing defense, but on offense... I'm not so sure. 3 point shooting isn't really a strength of either player and they both are most effective while dominating the ball.
Duncan and Olajuwon are getting theirs offensively and defensively no matter what... and they're the bigs.
Give me Olajuwon & Duncan and I'm not giving it much thought.

Probably a better question, yes.
I could go either way on that... but I'm probably going Duncan/Jordan. I think that it would take Olajuwon at his absolute peak for it to even be a contest. Careers? Duncan/Jordan and not even close.

Would love to be the GM who had to make this choice. There is no wrong answer, pretty much guaranteed multiple championships whichever duo you pick. I would prefer the twin towers before the 2000s though, would make more sense to get perimeter stars now. But again, doesn't matter either way.

I think that the Jordan/Lebron team would try and play a lot of small ball to utilize their strength in the open court which means that Lebron would probably be forced to play pf and may have to end up guarding Dream or TD which would be a disaster i think.
On the other end i think that the Dream/Duncan team would play a lot slower pace and even if one of them had to guard Lebron i think Dream was quick enough to give a decent go of it.
At the end of the day the Dream/Duncan pairing is just to strong, like a poster above said a better comparison would be Jordan/Duncan vs Lebron/Dream, at least then the players could match up on one another.
