My first thought was, if Paul George says he's waiting for good competition, what if the other good competitors are also saying that? Someone has to dive in first and start the trend, yes? Though, perhaps George making that statement could serve as a kickstarter. Or, perhaps he knows the good competition won't be there so he's built himself an out for not competing.

If there are stars who are amongst the greatest dunkers in the league (Jordan, Carter, Wilkins, Bryant, Griffin, etc.) then yes, I surely would love to see them compete in the contest. However, I would not be in favor of a non-contest dunker competing simply because it'd be a big name doing things. If Durant hinted he had something legitimate up his sleeve, my curiosity would be piqued. Otherwise, I'd rather see a Victor Oladipo or Tony Mitchell.
