Kevin Durant is one of the super stars in the NBA. His skill is unquestioned. He's been to the NBA Finals and lost. He's had other chances and lost. We all know Kevin Durant is great and getting greater. However, there is always the possibility that he may never win a championship.

So, my question is this:

What are the chances Kevin Durant never wins a ring.

Dumb topic since we have NO idea what the cast around him will be like in the future. Do you want a percentage or something?

Westbrook could be chronically injured. Durant could bolt out of OKC. He could ring chase as a veteran. Way too many variables.

Players on his level went ringless so 100% chance.

He's useless if he can't score well. So 100% chance he won't get it.

Can't judge him until we see him play next to a former FMVP and another all star to boot.

Too bad KD has a better team and players than Lebron ever did in Cleveland. :lol

Better players have went ringless and worse players have won multiple. There's no way of predicting.

he will win one if he keeps playing under his own rules for the rest of his career. if not then lebron wont allow it

I honestly don't even see him winning a ring. He is the next Karl Malone imo. He is going to play the game at a high level for a long time. But something is just missing with him. Unless LeBron suddenly dies, I don't him winning it. Hell, dude isn't even the own top dog on his own team.

Makes sure you use this excuse years from now when FT35 still has no rings. The guy just isn't a dominant player. He brings absolutely nothing to the table after his scoring. His playmaking is forced and not fluid by any stretch of the imagination. Has absolutely not post game. Neither did LeBron for a long time, but Durant doesn't have the wait to back any one down. Not even the vocal leader of his own team. This guy is without a doubt a fraud.

Unless he goes through the Le* route I can see it happening. He'd still rank higher than Le* all time even with 0 imo.

Post Review

Terrible post with no evidence to back up thesis. Poster is also unqualified and deemed to be sucking on Kobe Bryant's schlong.

Fairly low. He's 25... judging by his career curve so far, and assuming he peaks at 27-29 like most players, his peak level of play is going to be historically great.

So even if he doesn't win this year or the next, you're going to have at least a 3-4 year window where he's this unstoppable beast. He's already on a great team, yet the team has a ton of margin for improvement (coaching, etc.)... and if OKC regresses he might pull a LeBron anyway. Put peak Durant on a team that's slightly better than his current one for a 3-4 year span, and I'd be very surprised if he doesn't win a championship.

Very doubtful he wins a ring under Scott Brooks (I hope I am wrong this year--as KD is my favorite.) Once he moves on, I think his chances of winning a ring is very good. Brooks won't get fired anytime soon because they keep winning in spite of him. So we just have to wait until KD becomes a free agent. Doc Rivers, Pop, Riley, Phil, Karl, Carlysle all would have won with KD and Westbrook...

He's most likely going to go down as a top 20-25 player of all-time AT LEAST. Most players that great win rings. Only players arguably as good as him or better is Malone, Barkley, and Baylor, and I'd probably say he'll end up better then those guys anyway.

As much as people like to think differently, there's no Jordan in this league that's going to stop a bunch of great players from winning a ring. And Jordan "stopping" players from winning rings is overblown anyway. Plus even if that was an issue, Durant's career doesn't coincide with Lebron's the way Barkley and Malone's did with Jordan.

Like I said, there's no Jordan in this league. Jordan never basically "let" someone take a title away from him like Dirk did, and he wasn't ever basically one three-pointer away from letting another title slip away. Lebron's obviously dominant and one of the greatest players of all-time, but he doesn't have this strong arm on the league that people make him out to have.
