Also, notice he went up to Crabtree and said "Helluva game" and tried to give him a handshake. Then Crabtree pushes him away.
And n*ggas wonder why Sherman went off the way he did? :facepalm

I agree that Sherm is a great dude and people flipped out over nothing, but dude was clearly sarcastic about it and no one is trying to hear that nonsense at the time. I don't fault Crabtree one single bit.
There wasn't an ounce of sarcasm in his voice when he said it. It's poor sportsmanship to not shake your opponents hand after a game, whether you won or lost. No other way to look at it.

Crabtree needed some time to chill before shaking the hand I think.

Totally agree. There is no excuse not to shake your opponents hand.. unless the opponent tries to shake your hand while saying he ****ed your mother. Sherman was legit trying to show sportsmanship and sorry ass Crabtree (hehe) may as well have spat in his face. Poor form.

As much as I hate to admit it, chosen_one is right. I checked the mic'ed up clip and between his tone of voice and body language, it really did seem like he was genuine about saying good game. The "choke" Sherman pulled was pretty brutal though, but I can see where it was coming from after Crabtree smacked his helmet like that.
This is coming from a Niner fan who was pretty pissed and somewhat butthurt about Sherman's antics just a few days ago. I fault him less after seeing that clip but Sherman still went off a bit too hard.

Damn, if you watch that whole thing it lets you see that Sherman didn't really do anything crazy.
You can see that Sherman shook hands with a few niners players and it was real and geniune...so his handshake attempt with Crabtree might not have been sarcastic after all.

He slapped him on the ass first. He was absolutely trying to instigate shit. You don't go up to somebody you've been jawing with the whole game and who you admittedly don't like and try and shake their hand 5 seconds after the game is over. That's not good sportsmanship.

guys Sherman has come into near fist fights with every WR he met up with this year...
in fact he pretty much did get into a fight with Steve Smith of the Panthers this year...him and Boldin were near boxing it out earlier in the year too, and he got a Trent Williams slap as most know
http://cdn.makeagif.com/media/10-26-2013/Hy3Lr8.gif
half of Sherman's "game" is to be annoying as shit to the WR he is on...that is just what he does, he gets in their head and pushes them to the point of "full tilt" so to speak.
I promise you that he knew Crabtree would view his hand shake as just MORE SHIT TALKING tacked on to the 3 hours of it he just had to endure

wait, so steve smith throwing him to the ground (clearly a penalty) says something about sherman? Sure, hes an annoying corner, hes supposed to frustrate the opposing player. Both sides of this (hes super cool and awesome vs. hes a thug and bad person) are completely overblown.
also, pretty sure they had sherman play a side that whole game and he was only targeted twice? Its not like he was locked on crabtree the whole game.

my point is that Sherman is notorious for upsetting WRs to the point of insanity
just like I said
pissing people off is what he is good at

Jesus Christ, will you drop it? One of your favorite players of all time was a notorious trash talkers and showboats of all time. You liked him because he was a cowboy. Shermann is not, you hate him. Which is fine, i personally think he's a dick too but you're arguing it like he's this horrible thing and something needs to be done, if he was a Cowboy you'd be writing 1,000 words on why he's godlike.

also, the entire Sherman thing in general has been massively overblown...really I don't even understand why this is extreme headline material
It's like this particular news item "went viral" or something...it's bizarre IMO

right. When NPR is talking about and people who have never heard of him have an opinion its pretty stupid. Of course he does sound pretty dumb in that interview.
This was the only good think to come of it.
