PG. But put Carmelo on a good team with a good coach and teammates that aren't partially retarded and the answer may change.

Tough one but I'm going with Carmelo. PG definitely has the tools and mindset to surpass Melo though and he's showing it this year.

I'm going to give Carmelo the respect he deserves for being in the league for 10 years. I don't see him doing any better than PG if he was a Pacer but certainly not much worse either. So basically, they're on the same tier. I prefer PG's game but Carmelo has the slightest edge.

I'd give it to Carmelo for one more year.

Melo, but it is really close. The one dimensional bs needs to stop, he is a very solid defender and a great rebounder. Also is a good passer would average 5 assists on the pacers ez.

I still take Melo, but George is coming

Georges biggest drawback is consistency, he is a great 2 way player and on off nights on offense he will peform well on defence but to compare him to the likes of the other great SF's he has to be more consistent first.

I got melo, he's playing with 4 cancers at any given time on the court

Paul George currently is the most overrated player in the NBA. Give me Anthony every day of the week, and twice on Sundays

PG has become pretty underrated recently.

Iono, to me George is nothing but an Iguodala clone. Putting him in the same breadth as Anthony seems like an insult to 'Melo

Eh, I'd disagree. I'm in-market for the Knicks so I watch them quite a bit. I don't think Melo is on his level (though I do think he's played well this year, love his rebounding, and he's picked up his defensive effort...still an average defender at best, though, but he's above average to good in man post D).

Don't you think PG is a huge beneficiary of playing next to the guys he does? What if Melo was playing for Vogel in that system? Do you think trading PG with Melo straight up would be a huge downgrade for the Pacers? I don't see it.

George. Not close.

PG is overrated, he is benefiting from a good team on his side. He can score 10 points and his team might still win.

Put melo on the pacers and they will be the favorites to win the ring.

Carmelo Anthony is the best pure scorer in the league.

Paul George is the better SF than Carmelo overall.

Lebron James is the BEST SF in the league.

That's a good question. At this stage I would rather have Melo on my team.

Paul George. Similar offense and way superior defense

MellowYellow

Melo is becoming very solid defender, hasn't had nearly as many lapses and to be honest he has been the best defender on the Knicks this year. I would go with Melo for now, good offense trumps good defense and PG is not in the same stratosphere offensively.

You say that as if it is supposed to help his case.
PG has a case for top 3 defender in the league.

that's fine but Melo is not a bad defender, there is only so much you can do on defense.
