And Kobe said he doesn't intend to play in the ASG, probably will be replaced by CP3.

Dwight has been passing the one million mark for like the past four years. All of a sudden he can't beat Love and his 600k votes? On that same note, how do we have much more technology but vote much less than 10 years ago? I remember when Vince was getting nearly 3 million or so votes for the ASG. Those numbers will never be reached again.

Dwight just witnessed the very real repercussions of the conflict that has surrounded him over the last two seasons.

Last year, the benefit of playing in a market like LA helped to balance out much of that backlash in terms of garnering votes from fans at large. But after leaving LA, and subsequently those fans' votes, he now stands where he does.

Dwight should be a starter, but I can't argue with the Love selection. 25 and 13 is 25 and 13, whether your team sucks or not.

25-13 and 4, number 1 among PF's or Centers.

In fact, among PF/C, he's number one in scoring and assists. 2nd in the entire league in rebounding. He's definitely deserving of a spot.

The allstar game has become a way to push "superstars" onto our screens
it is a terrible game that is actually boring to watch and has nothing to do with the best players from each conference being rewarded and going up against each other.

I hate to be that "back in the day" guy but seriously this is becoming a joke ... why on earth would they get rid of the centre position lol? how does wade kobe or irving even deserve a spot let alone a starting spot. The NBA is actually becoming more and more like the WWE/WWF everyday

Alot of NBA fans are more interested in the Drama involved amongst teams and which trade will take place

As ridiculous as this sounds The NBA is becoming less and less about Basketball everyday

Dwight's just not a like able person, he comes off as fake.. From the Dwightmare mess in Orlando through his crappy attitude last season in LA, people just don't like him as a person, he over exposed himself in all the wrong ways... People vote for players they like, not ones that make them feel uncomfortable

too many salty lakers fans. LA is the biggest market along with new york. i am pretty sure no one from LA or New Zealand chose him in all star line-up.
He should not have made it last year too but playing in big market makes it easier and biased.

Despite being voted in an All-Star starter, Kobe Bryant said today he will not play in the Feb. 16 game. Does not feel like he's deserving

At least your daddy knows that it's not right. Although somehow I think his jizz being thoroughly lodged in all of your orifices will likely prevent you from understanding his decision.

So who do ya'll think should be the All-Star reserves? Me:

WEST
Lillard, POR
Paul(probably will start), LAC
Harden, HOU
Parker, SAS
Aldridge, POR
Howard, HOU
Davis, NOP
Dragic, PHX to replace Kobe's spot
If Westbrook gets voted on, Klay Thompson takes his spot.

EAST (records don't really matter here, LOL @ Kenny Smith saying it should)
Wall, WSH
DeRozan, TOR
Stephenson, IND
Carter-Williams, PHI
Drummond, DET
Hibbert, IND
Bosh, MIA

How is the NBA force feeding us superstars, when it's the fans that vote the most notable superstars in?

Unless you're about to convey some mystic, conspiracy theory onto me. Please don't, because I'll stop reading mid-sentence.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe it's the fans that dictate who the marketing brass in the NBA are going to use as pillars to uphold their local and abroad brand? Take Kobe for instance. After the rape case debacle, Kobe's popularity with the media and NBA fans at large sharply declined. That crash in his social stock correlated with his status from 2004-2006, when Kobe was not hoisted on the proverbial pedestal by the NBA as he had been from 2001 to 2003. The NBA, and ad agencies, recognized this, and therefore responded in a business related manner.

Then, as the 2006 and 2007 seasons played out, more time acculiminated between the present and the case, and his masterful offensive performances grew, the media and fans began to revert back to favoring Kobe; by the time he won his 1st championship without Shaq, something many harped he would never be able to do, his personal brand's restoration had been complete, and the NBA market team...and business corporations broking endorsements...once again responded through their branding. Kobe was once again highlighted on TV spot after TV spot. He was the apple of advertising directors, and generally a fan favorite for the younger generations who sail the financial ship that undeniably constitutes their demographic as consumer gold for businesses across all industries.

So, maybe if you take a second and truly assess the reality of the NBA being a billion dollar company based off the fancies of public entertainment, you'd assume the clarity that would allow you to recognize that it's ultimately the fans, and not the NBA, who truly dictate a superstars "push." The NBA isn't going to push any player who is not favorable with the masses. If they did, Demarcus Cousins would be in far more advertisements this year through a variety of mediums, and certainly be starting in the All Star game.

Dragic should get in as a reverse over Davis/Cousins/Love (should not be a starter) wins/impact >>>>> stats and he plays on a team with not even half the talent of those three teams and has his team in a playoff spot.

Suns deserve a player more than NOP, Kings and TWolves.

Irving starting is a joke he's not even been better than Isaiah Thomas (who's probs maybe just in the top 15PG's) you could easily make a argument Thomas impacts the games more this season and he's putting up similar stats as a starter.
