Very interesting contrast to how Jordan forced Carter off the starting lineup despite putting up one of the least inefficient seasons in NBA history.

2002? 25/6/5 ... Um, yes. He was an elite player still pre injury. That was as good of numbers as 22 year old Kobe the same season.

You mean like Kobe circa 2011 - 2013?

MJ wasn't that bad defensively in 2002. You wouldn't dare claim Kobe didn't deserve to be an all-star in 2011, 2012, or 2013 for even worse defense now than MJ played in 2002.

Kobe's defense the past 3 or 4 years was worse than Jordan at 39 years old. That's the god's honest truth. He's been THAT lazy. Conserving himself for offense.

As for the TS%. 38 - 39 year old MJ played w/ young Rip Hamilton, Tyrone Lue, Jahidi White, Tyrone Nesby?

:oldlol:

While 22 year old Kobe played with PRIME Shaquille O'Neal? That alone should help increase one's shot efficiency when they aren't the primary focus of the defense.

Learn the game, and differing context.

Conserving himself for offense is one of the few legitimate basketball traits that Kobe picked up from Jordan but somehow I am supposed to believe Jordan didn't do so when he was pushing 40 and surrounded with no other offensive talent.

How deep do your delusions go?

You are also desperately clinging to a belief that Kobe's efficiency was benefited by Shaq when in fact he was more efficient the years following his departure. Facts vs narratives.
