Which players proved you wrong in the NBA?

Durant. Didn't think he would surpass LeBron at his peak before he hit his prime.

one of my favorite moments of Kobe's career, IMO it absolutely made him the player he is today.

There isn't a player in the league today with the balls to take those shots over prime Shaq & Eddie Jones as an 18 year old.. not only that, but to keep taking them, to embarrass yourself on a huge stage when you're supposed to be this "next Jordan"

to come back from that and become the player that he became gained my respect

Enes Kanter
I follow his Career since he was like 15 and always thought he would be an Elite Big.

Dude hasn't developed a bit for years and plays the worst defense I have ever seen. Also he is dumb as a rock. On and Off the court.

Lebron James

His Charitable work is unparalleled. No one else comes close, outside NBA he helps kids and people. Inside NBA, he helps players. ex. In 2011, Lebron's known charitable work showed again during the NBA Finals, His compassion for other people is unparalled as he helped Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavs win their 1st NBA Championship. GOAT Charity Player :applause:

Kobe- he sure shut the haters (ESPN) up :lol

Lebron - I expected big things from him but he hasn't done any of those things.

Shaq - met him in real life and he acts like a normal guy, not a spoiled star

Will add as I remember players that proved me wrong...

T-Mac. I genuinely thought he would eventually get out of the first round and lead the Rockets at least to the Conference Finals.

I know his team technically advanced twice but those don't count to me. Wish it would have been him leading the way or at least playing the Robin role.

LOLOLOLOL

You can't be serious? Expected to be the next Jordan, the next big thing, was being called the King, Chosen One before playing his first NBA game.

And now youngest to 20k points, 4x MVP, 2x Champion on the verge of 3-peating, on the verge of going to 4 straight Finals only like two teams in NBA history have done that, already top 10 all-time (for most people) and still only 29 years of age.

How can you forget this?

Kobe. I thought he was just an athletic player with limited range at first and that he needed to go to college before he entered the league. He seemed like he would struggle with his 6'6 200 pound frame, he looked really skinny at first. You wouldn't think this kid would end up being the best player of his era. But in just 2-3 years, he developed into a true star and in another 2-3 years he was a superstar and was putting up back-to-back 45+ point 10+ rebound games in the Western Conference Playoffs. And I never doubted him again.

First of all, I'm not trolling.
2011 is the year.
First of all I never thought Dirk could make people forget 2006. I thought he wouldn't win a title. He beasted in the playoffs and proved me wrong.

After the Miami big 3 was formed, I thought only Lakers could beat them. But they lost to Dallas and then I thought Lebron couldn't win as the man.
In 2012 he managed to surprise me with that game 6 against Boston. After that I started respect him.

Rose and Beasley. I wanted the Bulls to get Beasley. One of the very few times I'm glad I was wrong.

Wilson Chandler this season only (so far). I thought he'd be a fantasy stud with Gallo out... but wow has he been a let down. Same for McGee.
