Wow, how nice some Clippers' players are. They fouled him on purpose so he'd break the record. He didn't though. Nice gesture.

Most likely yeah. They prob announced it at some point because all the fans knew he would have made the record at 52. No way they'd yell OOOOHH that hard in the end after a ft miss if they didn't.

I was at the game. It was tough to see the team lose this game. Especially for Ross, but like I just mentioned in the game thread, him holding on to the ball too much played right into the Clippers hand. He got hot, then went cold and froze out the rest of the team.
Just can't win basketball games like that. And on top of all that we lose 2 players in the 3rd quarter to injury. Hoping DeMar won't miss time, while Patterson will miss time with a broken nose.

I don't event think this is true. I'm pretty sure I saw a list of players who did the same thing.
Regardless, this is pretty surreal. I can't believe I didn't get to see it live. Hell, I still haven't seen it.:(

What do you think his realistic potential is? The same as before or did this game distort your opinion of him?

Well, were finally getting to see what Ross can give us in the last 22 games as a starter. His potential depends a lot on what his coaches can give him. He's got the nickname "Coin Toss Ross" since you don't know what version of Ross your going to get. It almost feels like Joey Graham 2.0 all over again... But I think he could become similar to say, what Lance Stepehenson is doing in Indiana, but with better scoring and less passing.
Now obviously, this isn't going to just happen very often, if ever again. He was hot all night, but if you ever get chance to watch the full game, Ross was getting the ball in the 4th and he hogged... he knew he was in the zone, but he froze out his teammates. Once the Clippers picked up on this, they pretty much loaded up on and he cooled off and was making mistakes on defense too.
Ross needs continue to play his role, 3 point shooting and play great defense against the opposing team's best wing player. His scoring prowess will expand when he learns to dribble the ball much better and become more consistent with his passing and reading what the defenses give him when he become a more seasoned player. I was cringing every time he drove to the basket, because I thought he was going to stripped or fumble the ball. He's way too lackadaisical when he dribbles.
I think he needs to also get some upper body strength, now that he's playing more SF. The stronger he gets, he can handle the bigger SF's.

Funny enough, I've seen Ross/Afflalo comparisons.

His handles are shaky and borderline cringe worthy. At least he has the tools to become the best perimeter defender in the league.
