Who are the best players from the last 20 years? I thought about this because how many of you actually were alive to see NBA before the 90s? Anyways, my list:
1.MJ
2.Kobe
3.Duncan
4.Shaq
5.Hakeem
6.Lebron
7.KG
8.Dirk
9.KD
10.Stockton
This is based on the amount of rings won, longetivity and statistics.

Swap Shaq and Kobe and you have a good list. After all, Shaq was responsible for 3 of Kobe's ring.

Make #9 Dirk maybe even at #7.
Durant? Not yet.

Kobe was also responsible for 3 of Shaq's 4 rings. They both needed eachother to win 3 in a row. Shaq needed Kobe to beat the Western Conference, Kobe needed Shaq in the Finals, because he had a harder time against the tough defensive teams in the East.

Pretty good list, OP. I do wonder though why you have Hakeem over Bron? Hakeem is a surefire top ten, but Lebron has equaled his rings and FMVPs and has more MVPs. Also, by the logic of accomplishments, shouldn't Pippen be over Malone and/or Stockton?

Karl Malone was a choker who couldn't hit clutch free throws and cost Stockton his ring. Yes Stockton over Malone. Scoring isn't everything.

Last 20 years? So the first season is either 93-94 or 94-95? I guess the former, since this season's not over yet. Not in any particular order:
Shaq
Hakeem
Duncan
MJ
Kobe
KG
LeBron
Wade
Pippen
Robinson
HM: Durant

I just had to put him on the list. He stayed with one franchise and only missed a total of 22 games in his entire career. Best PG since Magic.

Note: I'm only including play that took place in the last 20 years for this list. So seasons and playoffs before 1994 are excluded.
1. Duncan
2. Shaq
3. Kobe
4. LeBron
5. Jordan
6. Hakeem
7. KG
8. Dirk
9. KD
10. Iverson

1. Jordan
2. Duncan
3. Shaq
4. Kobe.
5. Hakeem
6. LeBron
7. KG
8. Dirk

I like the comparison Bill Simmons made between Stockton and Payton:
-Payton would have games of 30/10/15 with elite defense but he'd also have games that'd make you question if he belonged in the league
-Stockton would never really wow you, but he was so damn consistent

Look at the help hakeem had for his rings vs the help lebron had for his rings. Hakeem should definitely be ranked higher.

Wade doesn't have the longetivity. And he had a top 10 all-time great for all of his rings. Peak wade is arguable, but if we account for the last 20 years, he just doesn't fit the criteria. He's been limited due to knee problems since he hit 30 while other guys on that list had their greatest career moments at that age.
Wade is a great player and a 3x champion and a Finals MVP, and he is certainly arguable, but there's no way he's above KG or Dirk.

How so? Duncan, for example, achieved the exact same as Shaq in less years, with less help :confusedshrug:
Greater peak? No question, but at the end of the day the most you can get from a peak is a ship

Nope, as the OP stated, it's a list of the greatest players of the last 20 years (very subjective phrasing).
00-02 Shaq > any Duncan stretch for sure, I've never said otherwise.
But given the criteria presented, I'd have to say Duncan > Shaq

Durant over the likes of Nash, Malone, Iverson, Wade (could even throw in Pierce, Ray Allen, Melo, etc) based on rings won, longetivity and statistics :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
He's the best player in the league this year, but really? One year of dominance puts him on the top 10 ranking of last 20 years? Is Durant this season even better than prime McGrady? Holy jesus he's getting way too overrated, 0 rings 0 MVP = top 10 player during the last 20 years.
