if he is 6'7 everyone in the league must lie about their height cause he is head and shoulders taller than people listed @ 6'7
lebron exposed as 6'5 and a half

he's eye level with most bigs
he's either lying or everyone is 3 inches shorter than they're listed
in shoes there is no arguing that he is around 6'10

He's clearly NBA center height, that's all that counts.

For real though he's 6-9 without shoes confirmed draft measurement. Same as Dwight Howard. With a 7-4 and 3/4 inch armspan to go with it.

Everyone in the league DOES lie about their height, however he is not 6-7 he is 6-9. The fact that he stands as tall and taller than guys listed 6-10, or 6-11, well those are the guys who are lying about their height. (IE Kevin Love listed 6-10 real life height 6-7 and 3/4)

He's lying. Any baller knows this. When you're asked by someone else who balls or is involved in the game, you always shave off a little from your height because you don't want to make it seem like you have an advantage. But, when they list your stats on paper, they always pad in the other direction to make you seem more "formidable".
If a girl asks you how tall you are, you always add at least an inch or two.

I don't care KD's true height. As long as KD is for example 3 inches taller than a guy deemed to be 6'8, then he is 6'11.

From here on out I deem myself to be 9 feet tall. Duran'ts about 9 inches taller than me so that makes Kevin Durant 9 feet 9 inches tall from here on out.

Player heights don't piss me off at all I actually enjoy researching them, they are just like any other 'stat' to compare players with you know? As such, there's no reason for any deliberate use of inaccuracy or ignorance when there are actual facts that can be brought forward to the table on this topic. Durant's "stats" about his size were taken in the draft. Saying Durant's height should be treated inaccurately just because everyone else lies about their height though is lazy, and problematic. No 2 players seem to lie about their height to the exact same degree. Thankfully sources like draftexpress clear the fog, we don't need to just accept 'deemed'/listed/marketed heights, we can look it up.
Do you think if somebody deems Dwight a 16 rebound per game player it makes it true or helps a discussion about his rebounding ability in any way? I mean, this is how some treat height information. Should we just treat all other stats about players this way?

It's different though. We can physically see Dwight get 16 rebounds a game but we can't tell if Durant is really 6'9, 6'10 or 6'11 because we don't know what that height looks like. KD may have grown since he came into the league like Paul George has.
Besides, what's an inch? If you saw me and I told you I'm 5'8, how would you know I'm not 5'7? If I was really 5'7 but claimed 5'10 then I'd agree but it's only small amounts of height being added.

It's common knowledge that NBA players vastly understate their height. I've had dinner with Durant before and he's no less than three feet taller than me. I'm 4'3", so at the very least he's 7'3". Probably more.

Do you count Dwights rebounds every game of every season? No.
You trust the statisticians did there job.
I trust the draft team did their job measuring KD. You can speculate if he potentially grew, you can also speculate about Greg Oden's potential stats had he stayed healthy... just keep in mind that's all speculation. The facts are in the draft Durant measured 6-9.

When comparing players, what positions they played and what tools they had at their disposal to play those positions, etc, an inch can mean a lot. I'm in the boat of always using a players exact height if it has been measured. I also generally assume if a player hasn't been measured but is an NBA player of the past 30 years, they are generally (but not always) 1 to 2 inches overbilled because that is the pattern that is observable in players who have had their actual height data recorded in the draft or through other means.
