View Full Version : I See Absolutely No Way Miami Doesn't Three Peat

You guys really betting on Indy, OKC, or San Antonio beating them in a series? The Spurs had heavy help from the refs and Bosh on their side, and they still lost. With Indiana, George is a nice player, but he isn't going to swing a series in Indy's favor over Miami. With Durant, he can score, score, and score some more. But LeBron just owns his soul. And I just don't see that changing anytime soon. Not to mention they have physically declining Westbrook. They are nice players/teams. But I don't think any of them can pull it off. I would be shocked and give no chance at all this season unless LeBron suddenly gets hit by a car.

Miami's only and biggest threat are the Pacers. Once we beat them. We can celebrate the 3-peat.

I see Indiana beating them. They took them to 7 games last year. This year they're deeper (both deeper than last year's team and deeper than Miami), and George, Lance and Hibbert have all gotten better. This year they'll likely have home-court too.

Miami still lacks a center, Wade's health has never been in more question, and their bench is as deep as a kiddie pool.

I could still see San Antonio doing it, Bosh will be in the series still and there was no ref bias as you're saying. But I'd bet on Miami for anyone other than Indiana.

They can push Miami to 7 games again. But they don't got anyone that going to win the game for them.

Miami is my team but there coasting will come back to haunt them. There acting like a damn 3 peat is so easy. Lebron acting and talking like hes coming off 6 straight chips. I just dont have a good feeling about the post season this yr. Indianna is in the same exact mindset and level of play the 2012 Heat were playing with.

Most years, the team with the best point differential wins the championship.

Pacers are +9 or so... Miami is less than +6.

Four teams in the West have about the same differential (or better) than the Heat.

It's just not their year.

I think it will be more like last season. You know where Durant had the MVP hype than proceeded to lose to LeBron on national television. Bron stole the MVP hype and didn't look back. Durant is a nice player like I said. But he is harmless.

Don't bet on it. The Heat are going to throw the kitchen sink at Durant and play the trap game flanking Lebron with a lot of defensive help like always and then Lebron fans are going to drink the koolaid and act like Lebron was defending Durant by himself. Book it.

I think OKC will win, they are the clear cut favorites at the moment.

KD = GOAT of the decade, MVP this year, will be GOAT scorer by the end of his career, probably end up ahead of Jordan
Ibaka = Master shot blocker, elite defender
Westbrook = #1 PG in the game, makes a great leader for OKC, drives the offense
Derek Fisher = 5xChampion

Will be very disappointing if they dont sweep everyone this year.

also Durant will torch Lebron if they meet in the finals. Its all mental if Durant cant destroy Miami. We all know Lebron wont guard KD (not an insult its a fact) and no way D Wade can guard KD anymore.

Miami's new season starts after the all star break. Heat will be the top seed and they will beat the Pacers in the ECF game 7. Miami will then sweep the Clippers in the finals

Didn't Durant torch them in the Finals last time? No one doubts he can score. But he also got absolutely punked by Chalmers, couldn't guard Bron without fouling, and was almost a total non-factor when it came to playmaking. He stood around and watched Westbrick do his thing when he didn't have the ball. Than again, he would get the ball more now in a potential Finals with Westbrick likely in a physical decline with these knee issues (Steve Francis territory).

And by "most years" you mean only two times in the last decade?

2007 Spurs

2008 Celtics

Those are the only teams who won the title and lead the league in point differential in the last decade.

Come up with another theory, junior.

My God... seriously?

2013, OKC had the best, but lost their 2nd best player in the playoffs. 2nd Best differential? Heat.

2012, Bulls lost their best player in the playoffs. 2nd best differential? OKC/Heat were pretty much tied.

2011, Heat had the best differential, but LeBron shat the bed in the finals which let the Mavericks win. LOL

I don't feel like insulting you any more. But it's generally a consensus that the better your differential during the regular season, the better you do in the playoffs (as long as your team stays healthy).
