1 up on Jordan....but nothing to prove. Denial is awesome. Kobe isn't satisfied until he has at least 6.

I feel bad that he got re-injured and is unable to play. As much as I hate the goddamn Kobe stans, Bryant is a legend and it'll be a sad day when he's no longer playing. Also Duncan.

5 rings, getting paid millions of dollars each year to sit courtside at basketball games.

No I don't feel sorry for Kobe. Why should I?

How can you feel bad for 5 rings 2 FMVPS and an MVP?

I feel bad for Durant, all this hype for him at the moment, people are comparing him to MJ, which wont end well.

Yeah, I feel real bad for a 5 time champion playing for the greatest NBA franchise.

Yeahhh.

I feel bad that his legendary tolerance to play through pain and his incomparable competitiveness and ability to will his team to win always seem to disappear when a season is going poorly.

Him draining 2 FTs and walking off like a real nikka after tearing his achilles:applause: :applause:

Kobe is a first ballot hall of famer.

He has one of the most storied careers of all time.

5x Champ.

He's straight if it all ended today for good.

He's not Steve Nash here, that's who i feel sorry for.

Decorated career, 5 rings, millionaire?

No. Can't say I feel bad for him.

its both bad and good.

bad for the obvious reasons, but good in the sense that he can still come back this year, but wont have to gun it. he'll hopefully play a modest 25+ mins a game for the rest of the season, just to get his game legs under him going into summer

and then next season will be a whole different story compared to this year. what kind of story? fck if i know. but in mitch we trust. so we'll see after this summers upcoming free agency.

and for everyone saying, hes done. he has nothing else to contribute. thats fine that you believe that. regardless, the talents still there. the athleticism is running empty, but if anyone has the tenacity to refine their game to meet their capabilities, its kobe.

Yeah, if by any chance he steps foot on the court again it'll be to keep his team at .500

Pretty sad to be honest. The all time leader in missed shots deserves better.

If anything I feel bad for lebron. Everyone will remember his asterisk titles, collusion with a top 3 player and a top 5 pf, and 2011 finals performance.

It sucks, but at the same time, Kobe has a pretty spoiled career playing for the Lakers, winning titles, and playing with a lot of great players.

The bolded is the only reason to feel bad for Kobe. Kobe has had his share of luck as far as having an amazing team around him, plus he has made bank.

false. he is easily the biggest copycat ever in basketball, a total carbon-copy of mj and a poor man's version of him.

that said, on a personal level of course i don't feel bad for kobe, he's a millionaire, worldwide celebrity, and legendary sports icon who will be remembered as long as basketball exists in the world.

but on a basketball level, i am definitely sad that his days are pretty much over. i hate on him plenty but the fact is he's one of the best ballers to ever do it, certainly one of the most entertaining players i've seen, and basketball just won't be the same without the guy

Yes and no. Yes because he deserves better than this, plus his career is winding down in a really **** way. No because he doesn't have anything to prove, and is one of the most successful NBA players of all time.

Hard to feel sorry for a guy who has been spoiled non stop since birth. Raised in a wealthy family and began his NBA career along side the most dominant big man in NBA history. Get's carried to 3 rings, yet now receives all the credit for those rings when in reality he was nothing more than a role player. I feel sorry for guys like Lebron who had to waste 7 years of their prime playing for garbage franchises with crappy owners who refused to give them any help. Lebron should be commended for playing out his contract and never even asking for a trade, unlike that dude in LA who demanded out as soon as his team was no longer stacked.

Fell bad? Why? The guy's had an alltime great career with nothing left to prove. I only want to see him get back out there so he can walk away on his terms. Otherwise, his legacy is in stone.
