This guy is like a volume shooting Rubio without the defense.
Pistons fans, break down this chump's offensive game. I never watch your team, they're horrendous.
Also, how does Joe still have a job. Hire Isiah already :biggums:

This is what happens when you leave Milwaukee.
Meanwhile, former Piston BKnight is having a nice 15/4/5/1 season, best of his career since putting on a Bucks jersey.

Nothing good can come from leaving Milwaukee, unless you're Big Dog, Cap, Jesus or some other star.

wow
Rubio going at .358% on 8 shots a game
Jennings goin .378% on 15 shots a game
also
Rubio at .35% at the 3 line
Jennings .33% from 3.
An epic competition at first look but Jennings D makes it a easy Rubio victory. Also nobody remembers Ricky running lots & lots of 20pt games last season when he had Pekovic and nobody at all. He can score at will actually, he just gets beat down by the short term memory losses
lollolololol at that "I never watch your team they're horrendous" only too true
:lol :lol :lol
ok wait....... edit
Rubio 85% at the charity stripe
Jennings 77%

nothing like having the worst volume 3 pter ever and this chucker as your two highest shot takers!
At least hes better over the last 10 games than the rest of january?:facepalm
Definitely agree that this dude is the worst shooting pg in the league (of those that actually shoot). I have been belaboring this point since the trade and this season is about as bad as he's been. damn.
He loves the quick three, even when there is a better shot readily available. Hes pretty solid about driving and dishing to start the game, but as the time/score gets tight, he puts on his blinders and guns it. He loves taking off-balance shit and his shot selection is about as bad as j smooves. actually, his is probably worse.
Imagine this team with, say, Calderon and Deng? Jeff Green? any decent three (who else was available last season?) instead of smith and jennings.
SMFH dumars.

If Rubio shot the volume of shots that Jennings does, his percentages would be in the 20's

I wonder if they could still ship Josh Smith out to Boston? They were in love with him being paired with Rondo. You're totally right about Jeff Green fitting in with Monroe and Drummond. I wonder who says no to a deal like this:

Name 3 current Pointguards who have averaged atleast 40% from the 3 pt line in the post season?:confusedshrug:
1. Derek Fisher
2. Steve Blake
3. Steve Nash.
The first two don't have the flare, the spectacular behind the back passes, the blinding speed etc that most "fans" worship.

PIstons 1st rounder is going to be a lottery pick. Boston wil lhave their own lottery pick as well. Dump lots of salary and get a potential all-star big man.

Yeah, I've definitely given up on Jennings now. I held out hope that he would improve his game when he moved to the Pistons but it just isn't happening. The guy just hasn't improve his mental approach at all and his skills have stagnated as well. I've actually watched the Pistons a good bit on LP this season and they have been a massive let down.

SMFH dumars.I think you just about hit the nail on the head. I do not find joy in watching Brandon Jennings play. It's as if he lives for those brief moments of hotness where his crazy shots are uncharacteristically falling. Otherwise, as you said, his game is plagued by awful shot selection and inefficiency. He reminds me of a bad pickup player.
It's a little bit unfortunate because both Jennings and Josh Smith have a lot of positive aspects to their respective games. But they pretty much cancel out their own benefits by the manner with which they attempt to play outside of themselves.

I think the difference is that Jennings has very poor shot selection and that leads to his poor fg%. Rubio just has very poor mechanics. In a vacuum, the latter is worse because he really needs to learn how to shoot properly and that takes time and who knows if he can ever learn to shoot consistently. Jennings fg % is a product of low IQ and the coach giving him a green light. It doesn't really mean he is a bad shooter, it's his selection. It's easier to learn to take better shots than it is to learn how to shoot again. I'd still take Rubio as a player, but he has a more difficult path to make his shot work for him and improve his fg%.

I never understood the smith signing. It's like they never really saw him play and signed him based in his stats. He is the definition of empty stats bc his deficiencies hurt so much. He had poor IQ, shot selection and one of the worst 3 point shooters but manages a career high 3.6 a game on a career second worst 23%. A couple of years back, Woodsen did not allow smith to shoot 3's and he had his most efficient year. I don't get why he is allowed to shoot so much. If he just focused on d and getting in the paint, he'd be so much better. Hawks are a better team without him and with a unselfish and much more efficient Milsap.

He has even been bragging about his laughably awful play this year.
Outside of Felton he is probably the worst starting PG in the NBA not on a rookie contract. He thinks the only reason he hasn't been an All-Star is that he was playing in Milwaukee.
Take a look at the Bucks with and without him on the floor last year:
Without BJ: Outscored their opponents by 163 points
With BJ: Outscored by their opponents by 286 points
Holy ****.
no pun intended

It doesn't take a genius to understand that he can impact the game in many other ways other than his shooting. Is his poor fg% all you are looking at?

Rubio was overhyped
Jennings was not
I think its more that he had a pretty good rookie season, and that led to higher expectations. He has some of the most incredible passing skills in the game, so people are going to knock his game a bit more. He wasnt really overhyped when he came because of his poor performance overseas.
Jennings has been a known chucker since entering the league and expectations from him have never been high at all. He is your standard inefficient selfish scoring point guard. People gave up on hoping he improved after his 2nd year. Rubio at least has legitimate point guard skills.
