I'm just saying that, from my experience, a high percentage of young women go out looking for sex, either consciously or unconsciously. If someone approaches them that they like the look of enough, most will put out; and then i'm also saying that the number 20 could be reached without even seeking it in this way, and having one-night stands.

I also think the notion that if someone is a slut between the ages 18-21, or whatever, that they can't grow up or change as a person, and remain a slut forever, is ridiculous. I've slept around a fair amount, and yet i've been in a relationship now for nearly 3 years (lived with her for 2), and not once entertained a serious thought about cheating. People change, and they can change drastically when they're in a serious relationship (it has been shown actually that the brain becomes more plastic when a person is involved in an intense emotional relationships). I do think there are different levels of sluttiness. Frequent 1 night stands is certainly more slutty than what I was talking about.

As to the bolded part, I completely agree with you. If I were 21 and met a 21 year old girl who said she had sex with 20 guys and we were mutually interested in each other, I would be more hesitant to put my trust in that girl than a girl who said 4 guys, but that wouldn't mean I would dismiss her as unable to be faithful. I actually am friends with a girl who was pretty slutty when I met her my freshman year of college, but she started dating another friend of mine sophomore year. She came up to me and declared very excitedly "Guess what, I'm not a slut anymore!" I thought it was an odd thing to tell somebody, but she seemed to stay true to that 9 years later (has been in a few long term relationships, one that led to marriage a little over a year ago).
