It's a learning experience for him as well as the players. It's rare that a team builds enough chemistry to maximize its potential in just one season. You have a good young squad with enough upside to contend which is good, but a young coach (experience-wise) and a young squad means serious title contention might take some time. Harden has some finals exp which helps, but his role now is different, and I think this team needs one more piece preferably a veteran who can be an offensive threat off the bench.

So is Kevin Durant without Russell Westbrook even playing. So are a lot of teams in the West that are all contending. We're not even past the All Star game yet or trade deadline.

I think this is about as telling as it gets. The Rockets are a pain to watch on a nightly basis, never been so frustrated, but what can ya say? Look at the teams around them (save for Portland)

I think they can beat anybody in a 7 game series. I think they could beat OKC if they get hot.
