What record? Wilt owns the record. Most thirty point games in a row in the last 30 seasons isn't a record.

Nobody cares about 8 team leagues of 5' 10 white guys in the 60s.

He gets 30 so effortlessly but Westbrook should be coming back soon so he might relax a bit.

Do these records require the player to suit up for each game on the schedule and hit 30pts,or would an injury break not interrupt the tally?

Edit nvm answered my own question

But Durant's leading 30 streaks if you limit it to the past decade. He's very impressive.

30+ point streaks (past 10 seasons)

Durant: 12 in 2014
Kobe: 10 in 2012
LeBron: 10 in 2006
Kobe: 9 in 2006
Amar'e: 9 in 2010
Kobe: 8 in 2006

40+ point streaks (past 10 seasons)

Kobe: 5 in 2005
Kobe: 5 in 2007
Kobe: 4 in 2006
Kobe: 4 in 2012
Melo: 3 in 2013
Iverson: 3 in 2004

I don't think he does because OKC have some easy games coming up, all it takes is one blowout and for him not to play in the fourth for one game (which he does often). That being said, the rate he's going he's getting near 30 by three quarter time anyway.

He might not get 30 one game due to his team winning in a blowout. But he's dropped 36 on George, 33 on LeBron, 54 on Iggy, 38 on Deng, etc. He's LIGHTING UP the best defenders in the league.

You can tell he is going for it, I think he will cuz he will play 40 min regardless of what the score is like he did tonight.

Kobe's 16 games (http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bryanko01/gamelog/2003/#457-472-sum:pgl_basic): 40.4 / 4.9 / 3.7 / 2.4 / 0.9 / 3.5 TOV / 47.5% FG / 42.9% 3PT / 85.1% FT
McGrady's 14 games (http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/mcgratr01/gamelog/2003/#401-414-sum:pgl_basic): 37.4 / 6.0 / 5.5 / 2.0 / 0.8 / 3.4 TOV / 49.3% FG / 44.3% 3PT / 77.9% FT
Durant's 12 games (http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/duranke01/gamelog/2014/#496-507-sum:pgl_basic): 38.0 / 6.3 / 5.9 / 1.7 / 0.9 / 4.1 TOV / 54.4% FG / 42.0% 3PT / 87.9% FT

More points, more steals, fewer turnovers, better from the 3. All in a 33% bigger sample size.

Durant had more rebounds, more assists, and way better efficiency.

Kobe's stretch was 16 games

Durants stretch was 12, its hard to mantain that level of scoring for 16 games, look at Durant's last game, if he struggles again in the next few games and we look at his 16 game stretch his numbers will most likely have dipped by a decent margin

Really, it should be 13. He shot 10/12 in the Nets game and obviously would have made it past 30 if Brooks hadn't sat him in the 4th quarter. Pick any 13-game stretch from Kobe's 16 game and he's still not touching Durant's efficiency.

Check my post at the bottom of last page, thank you.

And check how many 40 and 50 point games Kobe had as opposed to KD, and their respective W-L records. I'll take Kobe.
