I've been saying for a long time: Yes, Harden is the most talented player on the Rockets. Yes, he should get the most touches. But he needs to have a few less touches, let Lin take control of the offense a bit more, and play off ball a bit and conserve his energy for defense. We've all played pickup with that guy who gets your team a ton of buckets sometimes vs. the entire other team but walks back on D every play cuz he's gassed.

To the "Rockets" fans that hate on Jeremy Lin this should be all you need to see. Lin is not anywhere near as good as Harden, but he is good for this team. I still think a different coach would make Harden give up the ball more often and run these sets.

I've watched 2 previous games of the Rockets and Lin is totally different player when he has the ball in his hand, running the offense without Harden with the first unit. Lin ran the offense well and spread the ball with different looks. No doubt Lin is a starter material but Harden is just a much better player than Lin and both really can't be on the floor together because they both need the ball to be effective. Harden just really need to care about defense more because he's not even trying at all.
