Im gonna explain why this trade would be trash

Perkins sucks. Westbrook and Harden won't fit in the starting lineup because both are ball dominant. Parsons is very valuable to the Rockets, Lin can score in bunches at times and Asik is a double-double center. OKC would win this trade by a mile

They are already the longest team in the league and already an elite defense.

Of course the Rockets would say no, idiot. Why would they even throw in Chandler Parsons who is very good and is the best friend of Dwight Howard?

Why u mad, son?
Does calling people "idiot" on internet forums make you feel big?

People in this thread seriously underrate Westbrook. He is a superstar top 5 player.
Lin + Asik are underused by Rockets. Parsons' ceiling isn't that much higher than his current level as a 3rd option.

That's not enough for Westbrook who is considered a top 10 player in the league, probably gotta throw some picks in there.

Parsons is the biggest risk because you don't know how his game will look outside of the Houston offense and he's probably going to get 10+ mil on his next contract with those inflated stats.

Lol no way do Houston do this. Westbrook/Harden couldn't get chip at OKC won't happen in Houston.

Thunder wouldn't even consider this. Westbrook/Harden don't like playing with each other anyways.

So in his 3rd season Chandler averages 17,6,4 shooting 50/40/74 and his ceiling isn't that much higher?

Be honest... over or under you've watched Houston play 2 games this season.

Lin and Ask have literally no trade value

Lin and Ask have literally no trade value

So a C who, before Dwight, missed ZERO games all season and averaged 11pts, 12rpg, and is one of the best rim protectors in the game has no trade value?

And how many Rockets games did you watch him play in last season.

You're similar to the guy who says Chandler is at his ceiling in his 3rd year.

Lin has no value, but Asik despite his pouting can help a team on the cusp and needing an elite rim protector win a title.

:oldlol: :facepalm

Asik has a "thigh bruise" MONTHS ago and hasn't played a minute since. He's a great player, amazing defensive C no doubt but when a 7 footer is missing that kind of time from a supposed minor injury its extremely worrying. Not to mention the attitude problems.

Yet it's Lin who averages 21/8 while starting who has no value? Not to mention the millions in advertising revenue you get even if he rots on the bench? You get his contract money back from Chinese corporations, that is a fact not up for debate. Have you even watched one rockets game and seen the Chinese sponsors? :oldlol: You... aren't too bright, are you?

Those are all valid points. I think the other poster was speaking from a basketball point of view and not a business perspective.

There are a lot more good point guards on the market and given Lin's contract situation not too many teams are sold on him. Not right now at least.

Given the lack of good centers Asik's value is (or can be) much higher. He averaged 11 rebounds a game as a starter last year and played all 82 games. He has size, body and most importantly..he is a rim protector.

Injuries aren't really a problem for Asik, his attitude is. His value took a hit because he doesn't want to play back up and the other teams know that. Kinda worrisome I suppose.

This is a terrible trade for OKC. Westbrook is a top 5 player and he WILL be healthy again. This current OKC team is championship caliber. Why blow it up again? Just don't play Perkins. Problem solved.
