Just said it on NBA countdown. For the first time ever, he saw fear in the eyes of LeBron James in reference to playing against this version of Durant. He also said James has absolutely no answer for whatever Durant threw at him. :applause:

No, Simmons said and I quote. "LeBron had fear in his eyes on Wednesday night...I really don't like to use the term fear, due to it being LeBron, but I'll just say he looked tired instead. This is the first time I've seen another player make LeBron look that way in a very long time."

If Rose came back to pre injury form that could've happen dipsh1t.

Also the media have to stop making stuff up. I'll bet Lebron is somewhere laughing at the guy from his made of gold toilet.

Yup. He had the same look just before Ray Allen hit that 3 in game six. Watch the game again (it was a closeup of LeBron about 30 seconds before that play). I've noticed it a few times now.

Point is it was dumb for him to ASSUME that Rose would go back to pre injury form. Even if Rose did go back to that form I still don't think they would have been better than the Heat or Pacers. Rose was getting WAY too much hype in the pre season, especially for a guy who has never accomplished anything.

This is pretty exaggerated. I didn't see fear when him and Durant had there skirmish at the end of the 3rd. In fact, the only time I've ever seen true fear in Lebron is at the end of game 6 last year when they were down 5 with 30 seconds to go and the last half of the 2011 Finals series. I don't think it's possible for Lebron to be afraid of any situation in the REGULAR SEASON at this point in his career.

No he didn't. He said they'd be the best regular season team. If Rose was playing, and the way Thibs coaches, they could've been the 1 seed in the east.

Honestly I don't think it's a knock on him though. The guy has so much pressure to deal with and considering the situation, he obviously thought the chances of them winning were slim. I think in those situations where you're off the court in a timeout and not actually playing the game, the realization of losing is more magnified. I'm sure most of heat players had that look, but the camera is only gonna be on Brawn. Props to him for taking the shots at the end and making a huge three.

I'm just glad Durant has stepped up his game to be in the conversation with LeBron. Last year LeBron was clearly the best player in the NBA. It makes for a better product overall when there is a challenger to the throne.

What about when the Heat were about to lose game 6 and during a timeout Lebron looked as depressed as I've ever seen. I thought he was going to cry but couldn't because he was in a state of shock. He couldn't believe that the Heat were really about to lose on their home court, and this was going to make him 1 for 4 in the Finals.

Then he proceeded to say **** it and hit the big 3 to spark the comeback. He was like a true comic book hero. He rose from the ashes and saved the day. Never forget what LeGod can do when he's backed into a corner.

As much as I love LeBron, I still don't think he's over that mental hurtle of not giving a **** and just playing his game. It's really too bad, and I hope it's something he's able to overcome before his career is over.

Exactly, dude cares way too much about what people think of him. His recent comments on Durant show that he still has problems with that. He can't stand the love and attention directed away from him.

If you look back at that game, there's play in the last minute when the Heat were down 2 that someone inbounded the ball to Lebron and he almost fumbled it into the backcourt. He was that nervous and shook. Lebron actually ended up turning the ball over on that play anyway, which led to the fastbreak where Ginobili was fouled, but had that backcourt ended up occurring and Spurs somehow win that game (who knows, Spurs would be up and would probably call a timeout, chain of events are probably different), it might've ended up being the worst turnover of all-time.

He's been pretty adamant that they lost that series as a result of the biased officiating that took place that year in the playoffs.

Fear, not only of the man in front of him, who has risen to new heights..

Yeah, Durant looked much quicker than LeBron on the court. I don't think this "bulk up and bully smaller SF's in the post" was really the route LeBron should have taken as he tries to reinvent himself while aging. I would have dropped 10 pounds or so and kept working on my jumpshot if I were him.
