We all know he would've scored 30 if it wasn't a blowout. Until he has a bad game, I'm still counting this streak.

Kobe and KD fans have something in common being fans of dominant players. Not like Lebron fans who love efficient players like Lebron, Reggie Miller and Goran

This dude just had a crazy month. Lebron is my favorite player but damn I love me some KD. His year has been very impressive and is slowly becoming my 5th favorite player over these last couple of seasons. (1. Jordan, 2. Lebron, 3. Kobe, 4. Wade.)

For all of you that never really watch Kobe play. Hope this would help you understand his greatness. Everyone thinks Durant is great now but Kobe back in his prime had 16 straight 30+ games, 9 straight 40+ games and 3 straight 50+ games. FYI.

As a Kobe fan, this makes me very happy! I don't want this beta male breaking one of Kobe's very important records. And you can tell from the interview that Durant wanted it, but he simply doesn't have the confidence to stand up to his coach. Can you imagine Kobe being so subservient?

Durant may be the closest thing we have to Kobe nowadays as far as scoring ability goes, but he is so much more mentally weak he will never reach Kobe's accolades (such as the many PER (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324201)™ records). All you need to know about Durant comes from this quote of his:

"I have no supporting cast. We are all equals. There is no alpha male amongst the Thunder from Oklahoma." --Kevin Durant

Now most of you have never achieved greatness and never will, so you applaud this effort in which Mr. Durant relates himself as a common man. But this is the wrong way to look at it! To climb the loftiest mountains, we need great leaders, not commoners.

Take a look at comparable quotes from a true alpha male:

"I eat first. I eat second. I eat until my belly is full. Then, if there are scraps remaining, you may eat. Now give me the ****ing ball." --Kobe Bryant

"Andrew Bynum? Is he going to take shots away from me? Then ship his ass out." --Kobe Bryant

"I thought the sex was consensual. Now she says it wasn't? Who gives a ****. I'm Kobe Bryant. Now give me the ****ing ball." --Kobe Bryant

Hopefully some of you so-called Kevin Durant "stans" will now see the difference and adapt your points of view.

Warmest regards,

Ayotunde Ndiaye

still a great run. i'm sure brooks asked durant if he wanted back in and he declined. gotta respect that he doesn't relish in individual #s.

KD is the 1st player with at least 550 pts and 90 ast in a month since MJ in march 1987

Kobe had 5 in a row in 03,08 and 09
Shaq had 6 in 00,02

As shaq and jordan said, the day they started to not give a damn about stats is the day they started winning. Whereas lebron is still a statpadder so he needed 2 superstars to win

Basketball-reference (http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pstreak.cgi)

List of 7-or-more 30-point streak in the Playoffs since 1963-64 season:

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - 25/3/1970 to 19/4/1970 - 9 games
Bob McAdoo - 12/4/1974 to 15/4/1976 - 9 games
Jerry West - 20/4/1966 to 27/3/1968 - 8 games
Michael Jordan - 23/4/1987 to 8/5/1988 - 8 games
Jerry West - 3/4/1966 to 17/4/1966 - 7 games
Rick Barry - 12/4/1967 to 24/4/1967 - 7 games
Hakeem Olajuwon - 30/5/1995 to 25/4/1996 - 7 games
Shaquille O'Neal - 31/5/2002 to 20/4/2003 - 7 games

Side note: Kobe's best is 6 (in 2010) and LeBron's are 5 (twice, in 2009 and 2012).

ImKobe & Hizack: thanks!

I knew for a fact Jerry West had 6 games of 40+ pts the series he average 46 or so per, which I believe is the record for points average for a series, so I figured he might be the record holder for 30+ as well. Surprising not to see Wilt's name considering he has like 70 records (must be the free throws.)
