I'm happy for Shannon Brown. I'm glad someone is giving him a chance to display his talents. :applause:

I think OKC should have went after him though.

Spurs always know how to pick em. Brown has some talent and should buy in to Popp's system and bring some value in limited time at least.

Signing makes sense, too. Spurs could use a slasher/offensive minded player with all of Ginobili, Kawhi, Green, Tiago sidelined.

And to think that this whole time I thought he was still under contract with the Suns but just on the long term IL.

Go figure...

Always like him when he was with the Lakers & hated to see him go. Surprised he's been on the market this long.

I like this. The Spurs need an offensive punch while they deal with all these injuries. Unfortunately with the lack of a healthy SF on the roster right now, Brown will probably see a lot of his minutes at the three. Still, as many others have posted, I had no idea the guy was a free agent. Hopefully one of these 10-day contracts works out for the Spurs, because they haven't at all these past couple years.

Damn, the Heat should have signed him. Miami needs a reliable backup for Wade, and Ray clearly isn't the answer.

Hopefuly it's just for the 10 days. Spurs really need a SF.

Rudy was too scared of Shannon so he poked him in the eye...when he was on the bench :lol

Should have picked up TMac out of retirement. He looked good last year and deserved more playing time. I bet you could convince to delay his pro baseball aspirations for one more year.

Shortest NBA stint of all-time? He got injured his first game as a Spur.

Strange. Never saw Brown as the type of player the Spurs would want to employ.
