View Full Version : Luol Deng UNHAPPY In Cleveland

Smook A.
02-02-2014, 01:50 AM
As Deng recently told one close friend, “the stuff going on in practice would never be tolerated by the coaching staff or the front office back in Chicago. It’s a mess."

Deng was brought in to help clean it up when he arrived in a deal for Andrew Bynum on Jan. 7. But since then, he’s seen players get thrown out of practice, take off their uniform tops at halftime and threaten not to play, mouth off to Brown and generally act like spoiled brats. Entering Saturday’s game at Houston, the Cavs had lost seven of their last 11 games since the Deng trade.

Well in the article it states that Cleveland's GM, Chris Grant, may be fired soon. Hopefully their next GM doesn't draft an "Anthony Bennett" type of player with their top pick

well according to this they do have a slight chance at the top 3 and an even smaller chance at the top pick.

Tank Nation (http://www.tankathon.com/)

Milwaukee has 36 games left with 9 games left vs. the bottom 8 teams. Seems like the Bucks are locked as the team with the best shot at the top pick by the end of the year.

Teams like Utah and Sacramento have the fewest games left vs. the worst tier teams but they have been playing solid basketball for a decent stretch. Those teams will likely finish closer to the 10th spot than the higher lotto spots.

The Lakers them selves only have 9 remaining games and if they trade Gasol at the deadline than they could easily finish among the lower tier East teams.

With that being said I think it is unlikely the Lakers end up with a top 2 pick, which is what is necessary to draft Embiid.

Man I miss the 80s. At least then folks did not whine so much. Or they did and we, the fan, hardly knew about it. Cleveland is a mess, we get that. Players need to do their part to help improve the situation. It is basketball not rocket science.

you just didn't know it back then. NBA players have been whiners since the 60s. Wilt was known to punch team mates who didn't believe his mountain lion story.

The part where the players are acting out disturbs me. I hate how these multi-millionaires have no respect or decency and lash out at a coach in that shape and form. Deng came from a winning organization and a hard-nosed coaches to a mess in Cleveland that hasn't improved since LeBron left four years ago.

R.I.P.
02-02-2014, 09:59 AM
They are a mess. If they had just used common sense their team would look something like this.

Irving/Jack
Oladipo/Miles
Deng/H. Barnes
Millsap/T. Jones
Valanciunas/Varejao

LeBron's responsible for the way the Cavs are. Bringing his entourage, getting them jobs, running the place. He was babied as f*ck. The place now thinks that's how you treat players, and shit runs amok.

Team needs to trade all players and start over but this time not baby the players. Dion should had cAmeoff the bench the moment he was drafted now he thinks he belongs in the starting line up...which he does but he should had earned it. TT shouldn't be on any teams starting line up he's a role player.

That is such non sense. The cavs caused their mess before Lebron was even in the NBA. They are an incompetent franchise. There was a reason they were an 18 win team the season before Lebron entered the NBA.

Mike Brown has no control because the front office doesn't even back him, they will cater to Kid Kyrie like fools. Waiters wants out, Kyrie wants out, Bynum wanted out, now even Deng wants out after just having gotten there.

They have to fire Mike Brown, but it probably won't happen until the off-season.

02-03-2014, 07:12 AM
Dude needs to stop bitching. He was offered 10-11 per year by the Bulls, where everything is so awesome, and he turned it down. Does he think some real contender with a strong lockerroom will offer him 13-15. The only semi-contender team he might be able to receive such an offer from is the desperate Mavs.

wait...he doesn't want to hang with a team that has had some spotty drafting (not drafting drummond, barnes. drafting waiters and bennett). don't worry, karasev will save the day!

then there's rumors that irving wants out. i mean, he went from a defensive oriented team that could at least compete to a mike brown led team that is already starting to lose control.

Actually I do, enough to recognize that Lombardi is a ****ing moron that will be back with the NFL Network in a couple of years. Dumping Chud after a season filled with injuries, after the team had actually made progress and changing the entire coaching staff after a single year was just stupid. Can't wait until Pettine gets dumped and the process starts anew.

That said, the Cavaliers have had years to rebuild and still can't do it, plenty of top picks, they've been an epic fail since LeBron left. At least Browns fans have Josh Gordon to look forward to. Holmgren says "you're welcome."

DukeDelonte13

Browns hands down. Hands f*cking down.

Browns have been terrible since 1999. Cavs have gotten to the finals and the ECF during the Lebron era, and they had some strong teams in the 90's as well.

Any single team in the NBA who loses a top 2 player in the league without any forward notice is gonna be f*cked for a least two seasons.

The Browns have 0 expectations to win every single year. Everybody knew they were going to suck this past season, the season before, etc., and everybody knows they will probably be a 5 win team next season. And we just have been poaching our coaching staff from the Buffalo Bills of all franchises.

There is just no argument as to which cleveland franchise is worse. The new Browns are arguably the worst franchise in all of professional sports.
