Saw what appeared to be his wife driving an SUV pulling into my parking garage this morning right in front of me with yellow license plates labeled 24BlackMamba or 24Mamba or something along those lines :biggums:

I was pulling into the parking garage I use every day, during morning rush hour on just another crummy cold Cleveland monday, wtf you think I've got my phone on stand by for taking pics of vehicles pulling in in front of me and shit? I could try to go out there for lunch break maybe like a creep to see if their vehicle is still there, I saw where they parked :confusedshrug:

Why would they have those plates? Even if they were in Cleveland, they would either have a driver, or a luxury rental (neither of which would have his name plastered on the plates, lol).

Don't ask me, there were also 2 stickers on the back window, the vehicle was a mercedes gray/silver in color. The plates where yellow on top of saying 24Mamba or 24BlackMamba or w/e which I found very unusual as yellow plates in ohio usually means you've had a DUI (but they are just regular random plate numbers, not custom and the text looks different). It was a nice'ish car, but nothing crazy, cars like that go in and out of my parking garage all the time, it did park on the lowest level which is a reserved area. A female was driving, I saw her pull the ticket out to open the gate, the windows of the vehicle were tinted dark. That's about all I got from it, it just made me wonder so I wanted to know if he would be in Cleveland today for any reason. I did just look up there is a Cavs/Lakers game in 2 days, no? That's a couple days away, I don't know if it was them or not, but it is cool (to me) if it was.

That could be, they weren't parking near any Cleveland Clinic buildings though. My parking garage is attached to one of Cleveland's typical multi-purpose office buildings, there are other garages much closer to the Clinic, there are also garages much closer to the Q. I honestly don't know why the Bryant's (if it was them) would be parking there, most people who park there probably work within that connected highrise building, though there are people like me who park there and walk a few blocks to seperate buildings. It's one of the nicer garages in town and is near by a few places I guess like the Library and a few places to eat and whatnot, I wonder if it was just Mrs. Bryant and she had dropped Kobe off somewhere or something, I remember that car was driving from South (could be coming from the Q or the Cleveland Clinic from that road/direction) and turned right to go East towards the garage just in front of me. All I know is the plates were custom with the 24Mamba moniker and I guess it was Forum Gold in color (which resembles DUI plates in Ohio :lol ), the vehicle was a fairly nice mercedes SUV but nothing crazy just plain gray/silver in color, it parked in the VIP area, the windows were tinted but the person who reached out to get the ticket to open the lift was a black female with nicely manicured hands. Could be a crazy fanatic, could be Mrs. Bryant too tho since Kobe plausibly should be in town right now.

Not a police investigator, I do have a particularly good visual memory actually, and this happened this morning and was unusual. Not that difficult IMO to recall a couple details of something that broke the norm of my daily grind, particularly because what caught my eye was those bright yellow 24Mamba plates.

Yeah man, it doesn't take long to go to your camera app and take a picture.
I drive stick, it's cold, I had gloves on, my morning routine prior to even driving involves zipping my phone into my work bag, and the parking garage entrance is on a hill so I need my hands on the wheel and stick. I can't be fumbling around taking gloves off, unzipping my phone, doing the damn thumb print activation that is finnicky, then opening up the camera app to snap a pic there is no way in hell any of that would have been possible for the brief 5-10 seconds I was behind this car :oldlol: .
I did think about going for a 2nd look but they parked on the bottom level, which is the reserved area, I was 2 floors up - in an open garage - again on a cold monday. Not running late or anything but then again I didn't want to run late, so pardon me for deciding to forgo walking down during rush hour when cars are pouring in the garage to go snap a pic of a vehicle that I thought at the time was a waaaaaaaaaaaay outside chance of being a legit vehicle in use by the Bryant's. I didn't know Kobe was plausibly going to be in town today until I got in and logged on to ISH/Google to check. Still don't know if it's a vehicle of his or not, could just be a huge fan, or someone who works for him/Lakers, who knows. There is no way I was going to snap a pic while driving up behind them though, and pardon me for not thinking to snap a pic when I didn't even realize he had a reason/likelyhood to be in town.

I don't know, could be a rental, with custom plates? I don't know, I've never seen plates like that. In Ohio even custom plates have to be the OH design as far as I know. These were all yellow, which in OH is actually DUI color, but DUI plates can't have custom name/text. Even the font was like the jersey number/name font. Not normal plates. Like I said fairly typical vehicle though, just a mercedes SUV gray/silver in color. With 2 stickers on the back window that were graphics of some sort.

I once met Jason Collins. It was after a Bucks game in the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Initially we were just supposed to snap a picture together and go our separate ways, but somehow it just didn't end there, it couldn't end there. We struck up a conversation and instantly we seemed to click. It was almost as if something in the universe just wanted, NEEDED for us to be together. Then and there I knew something was up, that neither of us were phenomenal conversationalists, but rather, we just had inexplicable natural chemistry that bound us together. We discussed basketball, our likes, our dislikes, our favorite movies, our favorite music, political views, religious views, our favorite desserts, our favorite drinks - pretty much anything and everything that would allow two people to connect on a borderline intimate level. We then decided that standing among tons of people trying to carry out a conversation was just not the way to go about starting a relationship as intriguing as the one we were both experiencing. He had mentioned earlier in the conversation that he had reservations at Alinea, one of the if not the most amazing fine dining restaurants in Chicago. He also mentioned that his date could not make it for reasons he could not explain. So naturally, we agreed that I would take his date's place for dinner. Once we got to Alinea, that's when our chemistry really took shape. The subtle, cute lack of coordination in his use of cutlery, the way his lips tenderly sucked the juices out of his scallops, the way his eyebrows trembled with the adorable nervousness of meeting someone important - all these little observations made it absolutely clear to me. This man, this beautiful, intelligent, unique man was clearly destined to be with me, as I was to be with him. After we both finished our respective entrees and shared our white chocolate truffle dessert (which was simply out of this world, by the way), we decided to go back to a hotel for some drinks and to continue our conversation. I didn't anticipate this and I'm almost positive he didn't either, but we ended up passionately making out the entire limo drive back to the room. He insisted I leaned in, as I insisted he leaned in, but the intentions were clearly mutual. All the quirks and tendencies he showed during dinner came back at this time during our moment of intimacy. His trembling eyebrows returned, as I gently grazed his brows with my tongue. His lips tenderly made contact with my own. His hands shook with excitement, as my arousal kept getting higher and higher and higher. Something had to happen. Neither of us knew what this was, but we knew with absolute certainty that intensely snogging in the back of a limo would not suffice, not for two men with our instinctual infatuation for each other. Once we had passed spectators and observers and finally entered our room, a raw, almost primal energy took over. Romance turned into physical necessity. He threw me on the bed, ripped my clothes off, and if I may be crude about it, went to town. Mind you, this was completely consensual. From then on, the drinks took over, and the emotions, instincts, and urges went flying to another universe. I'll spare you the details, but it was unlike anything either of us had ever felt before.
Needless to say, this was without a doubt the single greatest night of my life, and in light of events that would follow, it is reasonable for me to assume that it was the greatest night of his life as well. For no less than two days after this wonderful, unbelievably intimate night, Jason Collins became the first professional North American athlete to publicly come out as homosexual.
Neither of us have spoken to each other since this amazing encounter, but in the back of our minds, after every new romantic conquest we go through, we both think back to this incident and wonder what could have been.
no pun intended
