Definition of clutch.

Miller's is better because he only took 8 seconds, but T-Mac's was more impressive to me because the Rockets weren't down 6, they were down 8 and after T-Mac hit a 3 they also got 2 back from the line so it took more to pull it off. That 4 point play and the game-winning shot by McGrady was just bananas.

It's hard, Miller had less time and he did it on the road, but McGrady's shots were more difficult.

TMacs was legit. Miller scored 8 in 8, not 9. He fouled and pushed Greg Anthony to get the steal for the 2nd three.

Miller's was in the playoffs if I remember correctly.

If so, I don't think I even need to answer this one.

McGrady's was cooler IMO. The way he pulled up for the 3 to win the game was epic.

T-Mac and it's not close.. but both are awesome.

Miller gets respect for doing it in playoffs but what Tmac did was more impressive. Nailing four three pointers in a row including a four point play is ridiculous. Scoring like that is hard to sustain.

Really really tough.

Tmac's was far more impressive in terms of what occurred on the court but Miller did his in the playoffs. I don't know really.

I'd give it Reggie by a slim margin. Tmac's feat was more improbable, but it was in a whatever regular season game.

Then again, the whole "hit a three, steal the inbound pass, hit another three" tactic almost never works, so Reggie's feat was pretty improbable too. Then you have Indiana stupidly fouling Starks in the backcourt, Starks missing both FTs, Ewing getting the offensive rebounding and inexplicably hoisting it back up (should have held for the final shot), and finally NY stupidly fouling Reggie on a defensive rebound. So much improbable in the final seconds of that game.

T-Mac and it's not close.. but both are awesome.

One came in the playoffs, the other in the regular season. :oldlol: at "not close".

I feel that T-Mac's will be surpassed more easily. 35 seconds is a long time in end of game situations. But what really makes Reggie's more impressive to me is that the game goes from Pacers down 6 to tied in about 3 seconds.

That T-Mac sequence is probably the most impressive thing I have seen in the NBA

Reggie's more important, Tmac's more impressive.

Imagine if Jordan did either.

Nope, 8 in 8 seconds, GOAT.

I don't want to hear it, Jordan scored 13 in 33 to win the game for the Bulls, clutch!!!

Reggie's more important, Tmac's more impressive.

Gotta go with this. It don't get much bigger than playoff basketball @ MSG, but TMac's outburst came against the eventual champs that year, and he didn't push anyone to get his points.

Kobe's 47 shots in 46 minutes (http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=221107002) has to be right up there. Simply amazing shot selection by the Bean, often with two or three defenders draped over him. Unlike most players, Kobe knows that, while you won't make every shot you take (although he converted a very respectable 17 here), you will NEVER make the ones you don't take.

Some praise from Kobe's peers (http://espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=221107002) after that defining game:

"I haven't seen anybody shoot 47 shots before, ever." --Phil Jackson

"He's [the] best player. He has to carry ... Shaq.'' --Paul Pierce

Reggie Miller fouled the shit out of Anthony, and should have been called for a foul.

Definately T-Mac.

T-Mac did it with defenders on him on different plays etc.

Miller just got the ball back on more or less the same possession and had to shove someone to do that.

This simply can't be as impressive as this performance:
