Stein explains that whoever Team USA chooses from the 28 man pool of NBA players, it is likely to not be challenged by either Spain, France, or Argentina till the Gold Medal Game. Check out Team USA's easy path to the Gold in the link above.
So does this mean it was rigged again? Is FIBA determined for the USA to keep winning these international tournaments forever to keep Greece down?

But seriously, EL and his sidekick duskovich(can't spell it) should go on the record if they believe this will be a rigged tournament right from the start.
Every international tournament seems like it was rigged, in their minds. Why even watch it then?

BTW, it doesn't look like Lebron's playing. KD and Love seem like they are committed. Love a leader? I don't know.

I read an article somewhere that KD and Love wanted to be the leaders of the team, but I don't know. What has Love ever won? Hasn't even been to the Playoffs.

As long as deron sits his ass on the bench and melo don't shoot 25 FG a game..... We never lose a game
And if Anthony davis is our starting PF and curry shoots 25 FG a game... No one keeps it winnin 45

Any word yet on whether Varspurlius is going pro or not? I think if he makes Greece's roster, he could be a dangerous 11th-12th man for them. Think poor man's Utah Jazz Derek Fisher.

I asked EL if he would be in favor of Greece rebuilding. After all, they haven't had much success lately. So I said-- what if Greece doesn't medal again? He said he still wants Span to be on Greece. I guess like their secret weapon or something.

He's more of an assistant coach than a player, really. I've seen every EL game and Greek game, and he's a good leader, very vocal. Every team needs one of those guys. But in terms of on-court impact, he's more or less nonexistent. Juwan Howard in his last years with the Big 3 Heat is also a good comparison to Vorlumpious.

But he's still top 3 in the world:
1. Durant
2. Lebron
3. Scruboulis

There's only one true group of death... and that's the group with the U.S.A in it. I can assure you that Spain, France, and Argentina are happy to see U.S.A. on the opposite side of the bracket.

The US should send out their B-squad (would still win gold with their C-squad, but people wanna be highly entertained too). Will prevent any serious injuries to the top-tier superstars.

In 2010 we sent our C team with 3rd year Durant and he carried us. Breaking Team USA scoring records in the process. If we now have prime Durant, the one we're seeing in this 2014 season. It doesn't matter who we face, or surround him with honestly.

More like a D, that was one of the dumbest teams ever built. Other than Durant carrying the load, look at the roster :biggums:
Chauncey Billups G 6-3 202 Denver Nuggets
Tyson Chandler C 7-1 235 Dallas Mavericks
Stephen Curry G 6-3 185 Golden State Warriors
Kevin Durant G 6-9 230 Oklahoma City Thunder
Rudy Gay F 6-8 230 Memphis Grizzlies
Eric Gordon G 6-3 222 Los Angeles Clippers
Danny Granger F 6-8 228 Indiana Pacers
Andre Iguodala G/F 6-6 207 Philadelphia 76ers
Kevin Love F 6-10 260 Minnesota Timberwolves
Lamar Odom F 6-10 230 Los Angeles Lakers
Derrick Rose G 6-3 190 Chicago Bull
Russell Westbrook Oklahoma City Thunder

France and Spain are the only good European teams because they actually have a lot of 'good' NBA players in them. Even then the USA team will crush them by 30-50points. The rest of the teams are just practice.

At least, we have him on the record now. EL thinks it's rigged so now the question is why even try or be interested? So from now on, he shouldn't discuss or be interested about the World Cup anymore since it's rigged.
Make sense?

Let's all be real, like someone said a little earlier, 3rd year Kevin Durant was dominant in world play. Dominant. And now his game has only improved. Between his length, ball handling, deadly accuracy on the J with a high, quick release, and the ability to bang on any rim defender in the world, it goes beyond merely being suited for the international game - Durant simply cannot be stopped by any team. Even in the hyperathletic NBA, there is no matchup for KD. In the tournament, KD can sit around and hit midrange 3's as a zone buster, but it's more than likely we will see the usually superb USA passing that will find KD, along with guys like Melo, Kevin Love, Anthony Davis, and Klay Thompson in the various holes in zone defense that guys like CP3, LBJ, Curry, or Westbrook are more than capable of finding and exploiting. In fact, the shooting capabilities of this new team combined with prime Lebron, Chris Paul, and Kevin Durant may make this squad more deadly internationally than any team USA has ever put out

Durant has committed to play. Spain will have the home court so it could still be tough if we meet them in a Gold Medal game. The US will always be favored with it's abundance of top NBA players, but Gasol and a hot shooting Spanish team coupled with some nervousness from the Americans could make that final game interesting.

Yes, Parker may skip it, but France still has a lot of NBA players, and you said it's rigged for NBA players, so France may still do well.
