What do you hope to achieve from this thread anyways Magic32? Even your men Kobe / Magic have flopped much more during their career.... hell even the almighty Micheal Jordan himself has accumulated more flops....

http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=9479976&postcount=199

Are people really going to let this slide? Let's discuss this. Pauk here claims that MJ has more flops than Lebron James. Other lebron fans, do you believe this too?
MJ fans, what yall think?

But Lebron only has 4 career flops in total........... according to Pauk.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=pauk

Pauk - 1. The popping sound made when an object is removed from a moist area of suction such as a mouth or a bum hole.

Pauk - 2. A frail homosexual male who is quite desperate to have sex and gain size in the gym. A pauk usually enjoys watching sunsets while being penetrated from the rear.
That small pauk always trys to steal my girlfriend but fails and has sex with men.

MJ also never ring-chased b/c it was too hard, or shat on an entire city in a news special either.

He also never lost an NBA Finals.
Or had to go HAM in an NBA Finals elimination game since he always iced 'em in six.

Yeah but according to Pauk, D-Wade cost the Heat that title in 11.

You are actually using a player having a dominating game in the Finals as criticism of that player? :confusedshrug:

MJ also never quit on his team mid way in winnable series as favorites, multiple times. In his prime in the Finals MJ produced beyond his normal averages to carry the load unlike Bron. Who typically plays well below averages.

And of course MJ didn't cowardly ring chase leaving Chicago high and dry. Loyalty. Didn't need seven games to step on someone's throat. Wasn't given disrespectful defensive schemes of letting him shoot either.

The saddest part is that Pauk tries to look objective, say that he's changed, etc.
And he comes out with bullshit like this.
Magic/MJ/Kobe havent' really flopped, you can find 1-2 instances where it could look like they somewhat did, not 15-20 blatantly obvious, like in LeBron's case.

You're seriously trying to insinuate Jordan was a flopper? He rarely if ever did it. Slapped his own wrist on layups to get calls.

But like LeBron? Like this level of acting? At least MJ made it plausible with force touching his body.

No one said that straw man. He sold or exaggerated legit contact, sure. Flopping? Like the euro trash, Reggie Miller, Ginobili, Harden, and now the game's best player LeBron? To those extents, and that frequently? Absolutely not. The type of flopping that gets fines now being a league wide embarrassing epidemic? You can't be serious.

Since I've watched many a Jordan game (and there's plenty available on YouTube, too) and never seen him flop, yeah dude.

Flopping was NO WHERE near common as it is now when MJ played. I can count on one hand the number of players who used to flop back then. The first U.S. born NBA players to flop were Bill Laimbeer and Dennis Rodman (and MJ used to hate when Rodman flopped when he guarded MJ). Vlade Divac was the first Euro player to flop.

That shit didn't become widespread in the NBA until the Euros flooded the league and then spread that shit to American players.

Then you said "he rarely flopped".

The flopping today is worse than it was during Jordan-Bird-Magic time. I remember a past thread where Clippersfan86 found like 2 videos on Jordan flopping, but it hardly looked like the exaggeration that certain star players pull today. Some of the flopping pulled today is down right shameful when you look at it.

Difference between this era and Jordan's era is more about media-player relationship than defense toughness and other things you like to point out.

When MJ played he was treated like a god, nobody wanted to say a bad thing about him, people just wanted to hear good things so this image was created. It was an era without internet, privacy was more protected than it is today, Jordan was main commercial guy, he was in movies, songs, boards. People needed some hero to respect and worship and Jordan was that guy. Today media and people just want to hear some nasty stuff, dig into players privacy, find something shameful. Jordan flopped, but not that much but noone wanted to point that out, Jordan missed shots, got some airballs, missed many clutch shots. Imagine these forums if Kobe or LeBron airballs a winning shot, 20 threads and 100 gifs about how funny it is and how bad the player is.

NBA players are getting more criticism because of the internet.

Back in the day they only televised the Bulls, Sonics, Heat, Rockets, Magic, Jazz, and lakers games here in our country from 1995 to 1998. I'll just checked on box scores on newspapers to see if my favorite team were winning.

Thank God we have a cable channel since 1999. I can watch some games from another teams.

The point is, you need to calm down and start enjoying basketball, watch it because it is beautiful game, not to look for some detail that you can post here later and make fun of some player you hate.

GOD wtf is wrong with you people and these forums lately, it looks like every thread is about lebron vs kobe vs jordan vs______, who has bigger dick, who flops more.... fcking stans, lebron flopped so what, it's funny, it's not really a sportsmanship move but he got fouls, if he flop it doesn't mean he is a bad player, i don't like him but i'd say he has a top 5 of all time talented player.

Same with Michael Jordan. I thought he was undefeated in the playoffs back in the day. No Internet = No Information. Unless your school have sport almanacs.

I think I borrowed some sports almanacs when i was in grade 6 and in his high school.

I learned that Jabbar was the all time leading scorer in NBA History, and that the Celtics and Lakers had a great rivalry in the 1980's. And that the Bad boys Pistons owned Jordan's Bulls in the late 1980's and 1990.

You're so mad I posted that link. It's getting ridiculous. :coleman:

Flinging ad hominem left and right, which is ironic considering....
Funny how you two had so much chemistry during KD's amazing run, both trying to prop up LeBron and downplaying KD's great stretch. You felt threatened as a LeBron fan and him as a Rose/Bulls fan and to an extent MJ fan since he is such a weak ass bitch he can't give credit to anyone other than Jordan.
Now you are getting a taste of his hissy fits which is entertaining considering you two now look like bitter exes. :lol

There weren't that many floppers back then in general. Divac, Rodman, Reggie, Laimbeer...not sure who else. Nowadays pretty much all good players flop. I'm sure if Jordan played today he'd be the GOAT flopper.

Pauk's a tool, simple as that. Corny, ignorant-ass fool.

I'd very much like to see those so called flops by MJ and Magic.. It's not like they played in the 60's with little footage available, not even remotely close to that, so yea pauk go ahead and show us those flops.. Know what? You can't because they didn't flop.
Plus, Lebron flops to the absolute fullest every now and then and you mean to tell me those two flopped more than him? With no sort of footage to back it up? Knowing you didn't even watch the NBA back before 2005? Gtfoh.

AlphaWolf24

The league suspended the shit out of him for that and acted like it was the worst atrocity against mankind.

Karl Malone did this to a superstar (Isiah Thomas) and caved his entire face in ... leaving him incredibly bloody on the court.

40 stitches:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bM-Y4UoiAY

Malone only got a 1 game suspension....But if you watch the video.

Malone actually tried to block Zeke's shot, and caught him with the end of his elbow on Zeke's eye.

Bynum made no attempt to block JJ's shot....he just straight elbowed him in the Ribs. 5 Game suspension.

even though Malone's foul hit Zeke's eye....Bynum's was worse...in the fact he made no attempt at a "basketball play"....just went Dirty!

1st of all, we live in a much more technologic era where you get camera angles & slowmos from every little play and every single game is avaliable live then archived on the net, its rewatchable & avaliable to every single human on this earth 24-7-365 with a single click of a mouse button.

In the 80s/90s, you had only one chance to see it and only on live TV... and only in the US by majority.... and then the game/footage is gone if you didnt record it on VHS.....

Just because nobody was obsessed enough as a hater to GIF/record every single footage of Jordan trying to sell / draw / "flop" a call doesnt mean he never did it........

Fast Forward today and every single travel, flop or just any random occasion EVER accumulated is avaliable on-demand ready to go as GIFs/Videos/"Highlights" from any camera angle....

Fact is, Jordan has played in the NBA for 15 years and since i started watching him live (1991) i have seen very many flops, travels, cheapshots and whatever you could ever imagine.... none of it is highlighted on youtube, none of it is GIFed....

Anybody who doesnt believe Jordan might have accumulated more "flops" than Lebron is just ignorant, its not like Lebron is even a flopper.... the only time he ever "flopped" was in 2011... and ALL of it was highlighted....

Hell, Reggie Miller is my favorite player of all time.... but i cant lie if he produced his career in this era instead he would be known as the biggest flopper in NBA history because he used to do it every single game from game 1 to the very last one of his career.... but right now, even Lebron looks like a bigger flopper....

You kids are just ignorant... Anyone born in the 90s or later (like many of you here) isnt going to remember the day they saw “The Shot” in 1989 or the Flu Game in 1997 and most of all they will not remember what he was like on a night-to-night basis...... they will have missed his in this context "chokes", his "flops", his "travels" etc. anything like that and even then they wouldnt have access to a broadband computer to immediately download & GIF that footage as a cynic, you would have missed that he was just as human as anybody else and that anything you see today has been done by him aswell on the court, good or bad... The status of these historic performances is amplified excessively with the Internet, so much so that Michael Jordan is often treated like the untouchable god who was the most perfect human & basketball player they could have ever imagined. You grow up to see only his highlights & his highlight games creating this perfect "GOAT GOD" image of him... anybody who says something else is a moron. Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all time perhaps, but it is also because of the above he is also very overrated.

You mean like this clip where Jordan got blatantly pushed by Reggie Miller in the final seconds of a highly contested playoff game and fell to the ground trying to draw a cheap whistle?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5drIn3aLco

Oh wait that didn't happen because Jordan didn't ever flop.

It wasn't called as often as it is now. The game's officiated more closely now. They don't let things slide as much and star players are protected, etc. This creates a greater incentive to do it.

Players didn't dive as much in soccer 20 years ago as they do now for the same exact reason.

Isn't Pauk also supposed to be creating a vast archive of all Kobe's flops right now too? Now he claims there's a ton of Jordan flops out there that just get 'ignored'!? I've heard everything now, what's next a Bill Russell flopping claim? :oldlol:

I think he did a study of the "pace" of the NBA in the 60's and concluded that it almost always between 140-150.

Alrighty then.... At the risk of looking like a Kobe hater & having every Kobe hater in the world hate me for doing what i am about to do please remember.... the Kobetards asked me to do it, begged for it.... i will do it not to make Kobe look bad, but to make the Kobetards yet again look like what they are.... you guys deserve it, lets be honest....

Ultimate Kobe Flopping GIF collection procedure initiated.... remember, 17 years of flopping is alot footage for you to even comprehend & enough to perhaps even crash ISH.... so stand by, be patient and prepare alot of tissues...

I watched Jordan's career, and I although I can't remember a time where he flopped, that doesn't mean he didn't. He may have flopped one or two times and I just don't remember them or didn't see them, but he didn't flop 3-4 times a year like the stars today do.

The videos that Moe and Illuminati posted aren't flops, and neither are any of the preview flops that pauk posted, so I still can't honestly say I've seen Jordan flop. But again, that doesn't mean he didn't flop, it just means no ones found video evidence of it yet.

Besides, the only reason he didn't is because he played in the 80s/90s and it wasn't really a normal thing that players did like it is now. Jordan was arguably the most competitive player to ever play. He used dirty tricks all the time to try and gain a competitive edge...things that were against the rules that he knew he could get away with that increased his chance of winning. Flopping helps you win, and Jordan wanting to win more than almost anyone. Jordan would definitely be a flopper if he played today.

We all know pauk is ridiculously delusional. MJ never flopped.
