We used to hear this about Charles Oakley, Xavier Mcdaniels, etc

It seems these days it's agreed that David West is one of the true tough guy in the NBA. What has he done to deserve such a reputation?

I guess it all depends on what makes a guy "Tough".

All I really know about him is that:

-He's a boxer, that helps.

-He is praised for being a big part of changing the Indiana Pacers team mentality and keeping them steady during hard times.

-Many analysts and NBA players vouch for him being "Tough" which I will take their word for since I am never around David West and cannot prove otherwise no matter what I read.

He plays hard and is extremely resilient. He's also an exceptional leader.

Anthony Davis mentioned in an interview that David West was the "toughest" opponent he's come up against.
