i'm well aware of that, still an awesome gif showing the young lion's strength as 2 GOAT perimter defenders swipe at the ball.. not that it matters but IMO that would count as continuation 99% of the time in today's game

Kobe from 08 on was awesome to watch because he was probably at his peak leadership wise & played the game at a beautiful (no homo) pace.

00-07 was an athletic marvel though, he wasn't as powerful as a Lebron or as quick as an AI but he would get to the lane with ease and rise up out of nowhere.

Kobe also had a nice cross on MJ in the '98 all star game in transition. MJ recovered and cut off the drive nicely. Kobe forced up a jumper. But the cross on Jordan itself was nice. See if you can find a GIF of that one too.

Those gifs. can't be real. The way Jordan fans describe him he would of stared down Kobe, and Kobe would get scared wet his shorts and not even get a shot off against Jordan. Then Jordan would proceed to score 50 straight on Kobe with ease and zero resistance.

Young Kobe was a joy to watch, it's sad they didn't give him minutes earlier, he already has the same skillset he did in 2001, maybe not as refined, but he was crazy athletic back then, MJ and Pip couldn't even keep up with him on the fast break.
