Blake Griffin has been BEASTING lately and without Chris Paul at that. How long before Anthony Davis and Blake Griffin takes over the league and goes head to head for the MVP?

He's averaging 24/10/3.5 on 53%FG. That is insane. May be the best player in LA right now.

I predict he takes the torch from Lebron 5 years from now.

He has almost the same body as Lebron, just need to be mentally as strong and develop a high IQ for the game.

Blake Griffin is on his way to a MVP award. I think people will agree he's getting there...

I swear on everything people were leaving him out of the top 8 or so PF in the game with some saying he's not even top 10.

Where y'all at? Quiet as a library with a stern librarian.

Top 6 PF in the league right now:

1. Lamarcus Aldridge
2. Blake Griffin
3. Dirk Nowitzki
4. Anthony Davis
5. Kevin Love
6. Serge Ibaka

Holy shit... No way... No freaking way... Hes averaging numbers worse than his rookie year and hes taken over as the best in LA? Never saw that coming. Who honestly thought a player could come close to averaging his rookie production? I didn't.
This is flat out crazy.

His first year is still his rookie season hence winning RotY.

plowking, stop. He's a much better player than his rookie season. You're reaching. His boards are down but that's about it.

I think he just plays better without Paul.

Easily. His defense has improved worlds, he went from being a rotating door to being a solid defender. He has improved his free throws, and has matured to the point of understanding that he can't go all out on every play, and uses the fact that teams can stop him mainly by fouling to his advantage.

He's playing like the second best player in the league right now, but he's still not on Durant's level

Realistically 4-5 years before he takes the title from Durant.

Fixed. Last time I checked, the reigning Champion, FMVP and MVP is Lebron James.

He's basically Amare of a few years ago. Idk why you guys are going so crazy over him. He will have the same success as Amare too if he doesn't learn how to box out on the defensive end (like half his rebs are offensive).

As long as KD is playing, he won't be the best. He can surpass Lebron tho.

Bosh is as overrated as Ibaka is underrated. Which is VERY.

LOOL, your only explanation for why he might be the best player in a couple years is because he has a body type like Lebron. That's cool if you're into that.

And basketball IQ can't be taught, it's just the little things you pick up on through experience. Tbh , the guy already has a better IQ on the floor than Dwight, he can stretch the floor and he can facilitate.

Chris Paul may really be holding his development back though, with every game that goes by I believe it alittle more. Not literally holding him back from playing great , but in the undermining sense, he makes Blake question every move he makes on the court , when he just does what comes natural he plays at a high level.

Blake is like Shaq, he doesn't need a Ball dominant PG, he needs like a Mike Conley or a George Hill, guys who can handle the ball to feed guys in the paint and hit spot ups.

You put a high scoring wing player next to him and he'll be scary.

Blake is a better passer, rebounder, defenders since Blake isn't horrible at it anymore, hell, I even prefer Blake as a scorer too. He has a post up game instead of being a slasher with knees made out of glass like Amare. Am are needs to get spoon fed in order to get his 25 a game.

Don't think he will. Anthony Davis will probably get better and have a higher ceiling than him due to his stellar defense already and Durant is only a year older than Blake Griffin and probably hasn't reached his peak yet.

With MVP? I dunno. Anything can happen. I didn't think Steve Nash would get MVP twice when you saw him on the Mavs or Derrick Rose over LeBron or D-Wade.

Milbuck
02-08-2014, 03:55 PM
He'll never be the best because of his mediocre to average defense, but I think if he keeps this up, after next season he can be consistent top 5 player. Durant, AD, Lebron, and Giannis are gonna take the up the top 4.

Why would you not want him to dunk it down people's throats? If he had the choice to pick, I'd rather him rip out someone's soul with a poster dunk than a finesse layup.

While michaelcorleone is guaranteed to be gorandragon i dont think theyre tony montana. The writing styles are too different. Michael/goran is dumber than tonymontana. I do think they know each other, i think goran is tony's dumb younger brother and tony influences his love for lebron and goran and introduced his younger brother to this forum, and they get their kicks out of taking turns getting banned.

EDIT: and also influences his love for al pacino

Blake Griffin will never be the best player in the NBA unless Kevin Durant retires early.

Darius
02-08-2014, 06:09 PM
He'll never be the best player in the league since Durant is around (Anthony Davis will pass him too).

However, if you look at the past 28 games (when the light went on). He is averaging 28/10 on 54% shooting.

The team is 13/6 since cp3 went down. A far worse team than Kevin love.

Griffin is a top 7 player in the league right now.

1. LBJ
2. Durant
3 - 7. (No order) Cp3, Aldridge, Paul George, Blake Griffin
