My dad's 2003 Audi A6 Quattro, at 240km/h started sweating heavily, especially my palms, shat my pants and slowed down. Had room for 260, but i was way already beyond my comfort point. Gotta get me an Audi some day.

Had a similiar experience. I was travelling with a friend from the University, he was driving Golf 4 (1.9TDI), as far as i know his engine was chipped. There was another girl from the univeristy on the backseat, on a straight section he just decided to test his max speed and he managed to fill that speedmeter to the maximum (220). It was kind of fun actually, he managed to drive her crazy. :oldlol:

No-one is guaranteed anything, shit get go down at any given moment. We were on a straight section on the highway, dry weather with great visibility, and it didnt last long tbh, 2-3 minutes max. Btw there are tens of people dying in car crashes everyday, why should people bring crappy dead actor, trying to preach moral. It doesnt help at all.

I would say 130. I got scared of getting caught driving that fast, so I slowed the **** down. Paranoia will hit you driving fast especially if you don't have a radar detector.

A friend and I had a competition to see who could hit the limit on his car (the governor would kick in at around 110) the most times on a trip to the beach. You get to the limit of 110, then slow back down to the speed limit and then rinse and repeat. Don't remember who won, just glad neither got pulled over.

The motorcycle was sweet. I never owned a crotch rocket so i wasn't really used to riding them but it felt like the whole bike got lower as I got faster and had more control. Very exhilarating and scary at the same time.

Agreed, 60 mph(100kmh) in an Audi feel like 30 (50). My cousin knows a guy that had A8 W12 unlimited speedometer, he went for 280kmh (174 mph) on a local highway. Soon after that he got rid of it, for fuel consuption reasons :oldlol:

I'm the same with everyone else here. Fastest for me was 110-115 mph driving out on Great Basin Highway between Rachel, NV and Las Vegas in a 2014 Mustang. Basically no cars out there - but once you get up to those kind of speeds, it feels really unsafe. I didn't get the wobbles or anything, but it just feels like anything small thing could throw you off the road. In my 1997 Subaru, I hit 160 kph - but it felt really unsafe. The interior was vibrating, and it felt like a gust of wind could probably throw me off the road, haha.

The only reason I started the thread is because I just watched Rush (F1 movie) and it really is crazy thinking about how fast those mofos go. I'm starting to sweat at 110, those guys are getting up to speeds close to 200 mph. Insane.

Usualy it retards the timing or leans the fuel mixture out... basically it cuts back the horsepower just enough to maintain the speed

I think around 100 maybe even more. I had to drive 3 hours to the middle of nowhere for a job. There were no cars around. The reason I stopped is because I got paranoid the company car I was driving had GPS. They give employees speeding tickets when they check the tracker, and you can lose driving privilege.

Hit 120ish in my VW CC once. I got over 100 without realizing it, then decided to push it further. Thing is I barely even had my foot on the pedal. I had to slow down because of traffic. Normally I wouldn't drive that fast.
