View Full Version : Steve Nash, does he have the best offensive fundamentals of all time?

The guy can make any shot and any pass, also a great ball handler.
He could hardly ever dunk and was never that fast, his game is all fundamentals.
Even at 40 hardly having played all year he makes the game look easy.

Notice how players with great fundamental don't decline in their early or mid 30s. Players who rely on athleticism don't tend to have long consistent careers

nash is player with GOAT basketball IQ. his skills compensate lack of athleticism. other players are walking corpses with 35 years. because their atheticism somehow take over their basketball skills.
Nash top5 PG EVER

That's why Nash is a late bloomer. He became a top 3 player in the league at age 31 after he signed a contract with the Suns.

For a point guard? Yes.
For any player really, given his physical traits compared to the greats you probably couldn't play any better offense than Steve Nash.
Doesn't rely on size, speed or strength, it's ALL skill.
Best free throw shooter in the history of the game as well.

That's a good one, I think Nash shoots better off the dribble and has better "big man footwork" around the basket, up and unders, hooks and those type of shots.

He was top 3 in 2011,2010,2009,2008,2007,2006,2005,2004,2003,2002, 2001,2000,1999,1998
He was top 5 in 1997,2012,2013.
He is top 6 right now.

Nash is so good at 40 yrs old. Shame Nash had to share a team with a glorified ballhog. Look at how smoothly he runs those plays in those videos.

If by hardly ever you mean never.
Also, there have been many players that have played that have been able to execute virtually any type of pass or shot.

His IQ offensively is GOAT material, up there with MJ and Kobe for sure, he always knows what's the best shot in certain situations, even sets up picks from time to time if he sees a good opportunity
His defense has and always has been a liability though.

Except not as often and with as good of a success rate than Nash.
Other players who could do the same doesn't have as good shooting percentages or assist opportunities.

In order to reasonably support this claim, you must first provide evidence that he has dunked before. A clip, a piece of testimonial from himself or someone who knows or has seen him do it, etc. As of right now, there is literally no fragment of evidence that supports that he could dunk, let alone a body of it.

As far as I'm concerned, the idea that he's incapable of dunking makes him that much more legendary.

He played soccer quite a bit, can kick it in the basket and he's a professional bball player while being 6-1 or 6-2, dunno, never really checked. Football players have extremely strong legs and great verticals. I believe a picture of his legs has been posted on here and other sites, they're absolutely ripped. There's no chance that's he's incapable of dunking, he just doesn't do it.

Hes the pre evolutionary Nash
Nash in his prime is literally 3 times the player Price ever was
And the answer to this thread is EASILY
Larry Legend
he didnt have a single weakness on offense.

WTF?
Anyone that played high school and college and played football (soccer), played multiple sports, and was a good enough athlete to make the NBA....that was 6-2 in shoes..........
anyone training that much and at that height could dunk that ball with EASE.

Nash might be the best least athletic player of all time. Though he has good stamina and he's not really that slow.
I might be on crack, but I feel like Stockton was stronger than Nash. I feel like Stockton could guard a post up better, whereas Nash would just get annihilated. But my memory might be fuzzy.
Bird was strong and could bully rebounds from guys and had crazy stamina (like that game when there was no air conditioning), KAJ was a specimen.

While I have no doubt that Nash could dunk when he was younger, your post is as bad as it gets. You can't conclude whether a specific player could dunk by using generalizations. Or simply put...you're dumb as shit. Stupid inbred redneck.

I had a basketball coach when I was younger who said he played high school ball with Nash and that he couldn't palm the ball but they would throw him alley-oops in game. I'm sure he could dunk.
