He really does seem to have the tools to be KG-like in terms of defensive versatility.

Well the original topic of this thread was AD's reach so I'm guessing that's what he was talking about. AD's reach is impressive, but durant's is even longer.

It's a good question. Clearly there is something else to defense other than physical tools, much like offense. Davis probably recovers much faster and has better defensive anticipation than Durant. I really don't know though, that is an interesting topic to compare Ibaka, Davis, and Durant.

And before someone points out Durant is skinny, Davis is skinny too and young Andrei Kirilenko averaged a godly 3.3blocks per game back in the day and he was as skinny as Durant.

Davis has great defensive instincts to go along with his physical attributes. Durant's defense is as good as it is because of his insane length, not because he's good at playing defense or that he tries hard on it.
