[QUOTE]By his junior year during the 1994-95 season, Bryant had stomach flu in a regular-season game against Haverford, well before a certain idol named Michael Jordan famously played through one and scored 38 points in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals against Utah .

Kobe has tried to have his MJ flu game at least 15 times in the NBA, all in the regular season too. He's failed 14 times out of 15.

False. Kobe actually played with a similar flu @ Denver in 2012 first round

Kobe Bryant followed his 43-point outburst in Game 5 with 31 points in 3 1/2 quarters despite a sour stomach that he said left his hotel room "looking like a scene from 'The Exorcist,'" and that prevented him from attending the Lakers' morning shootaround and forced him to take intravenous fluids all day.

Bryant's teammates felt even worse -- for letting him down, especially fellow stars Andrew Bynum, who made just four of 11 shots for 11 points, and Pau Gasol, who was 1-for-10 for three points with three rebounds.

Asked whether he felt his teammates had matched his heart, Bryant retorted, "No, of course they didn't."

Wait I thought it was Food Poisoning??

"Yes, 100 percent poisoned for ('The Flu Game')," Grover said on TrueHoop TV. "Everyone called it a 'Flu Game,' but we sat there and we were in the room, we were in Park City, Utah, up in a hotel. Room service stopped at like 9 o'clock. And he got hungry, and we really couldn't find any other place to eat so we ordered ... I said, 'Hey, the only thing I could find is a pizza place.' He said, 'All right, order pizza.' We had been there for a while, so everybody knows what hotel ... I mean Park City (didn't have) many hotels back then. Everybody kind of knew where we were staying.

"So we order a pizza, they come to deliver it, five guys come to deliver this pizza. And I'm just ... I take the pizza, and I tell them, I said, 'I got a bad feeling about this.' I said, 'I just got a bad feeling about this.' Out of everybody in the room, he was the only one that ate. Nobody else ... then 2 o'clock in the morning, I get a call to my room. I come to the room, he's curled up, he's curled up in the fetal position. We're looking at him. We're finding the team physician at that time. And immediately I said, 'It's food poisoning.' Guaranteed. Not the flu."

- I know most of these kids here never watched MJ play....

but it was bad Pizza....not the FLU....the Jumpman clan bamboozled folks.

- besides...who cares?....despite what you may think...MJ was not the first player to play while feeling ill.

MJ had a tummy ache...so what?:confusedshrug:

It were "flu like symptoms" which are almost the same as those of food poisoning. No doctor would let someone play with real influenza.

MJ had heart burn and a tummy ache from too much Pizza....

hardly a sore throat , body aches , head aches , muscle aches and high fever from the Flu...

like i said.....it was blown way outta proportion...( as with most of MJ's mythology....but that's why it's so cool....because they are Myth's)

PS: he wasn't really cut from his high school team either.:D

I had food Poisoning....I ate MRE's in 140 degree weather.....

I didn't have a personal trainer to call or medicine to take...

I get it...MJ had a belly ache and he played anyways....just as 1,000's of players before him and 1,000's players after him.

MJ played amazing....as he always seemed to do....but the whole " OMG FLU!!..OMG"..

it wasn't the Flu...he had a tummy ache.

Bernard's flu game in 1984 against the Knicks >>>> the other flu games in basketball

King also had two dislocated middle fingers on each hand.

I question though how often it is actually the flu, as opposed to a bad cold, or an upset stomach.

1 thing is to troll on multiple accounts and as a result lose all sense of reality and productivity in the world

but its a whole other level to pretend to be a combat vet while the most combat you have seen is in a computer game.

p.s moron, all tanks, heavy infantry vehicles have air conditioning these days since Desert Storm.
